    well, i have a list of about 10 character names, both male and female, that i use quite often.

    The 1st come 1st served basis should also depend on the "time stamp" of the account being created. Some people have "A LIFE" we go to work / college etc ^^

    i could take a day off and make sure, i get my nick asap when the game launches, but that's stupidity and totally proves a game addict

    if someone does steal my nickname, i can always make a come back with a much more creative name that's wayyyyyyy more cooler than the one that got stolen. but the problem is when you see that stolen name char being noob in the game it will hurt a lot *_*

    but i changed my forum name so it wouldn't look like name hijacking on the forums

    I already messaged the GMs about this. They gave me a pretty solid response and basically said it's not going to happen.

    The GMs seem like good guys but they're refusing a lot of simple requests that I just don't understand...

    Anyway, someone griefed Pandora (account name) the moment they saw this thread so it's really too late for any sort of action to matter, for anyone who wants a name other than their forum name. I've never used the name Mystic ingame and never plan to.

    i've never played any private servers and if u don't like me choosing this common name then u can always delete ur forum idea or listen to whiners who think ur me...either way i don't really care. i don't bother with forums anyways

    Why chose a name that allready exist?

    1)they lack brain power
    2)they lack imagination to create ther own name

    +1 agree to single name use and in name shoud strat whit number or leter not special sign like XxXyourname>> etc

    All we can do is try to get the name we want fast. People, please don't grab names just to have them and never even use the character. That is just plain wrong.

    My names usually start with a stupid joke...like this forum name (my ign as well) Is like 6 or 7 years old...looks totally stupid for other ppl...so they'll never take it :P (ok maybe now someone will)

    =_= lack of brain power I sure hope that not insult or I give ya names you never heard before and wished you never sayed that, 0_- also there are gona be those anoyin bot-advertises later probobly after open beta then headacke gona start cuz they only used for phising keyloggin and crackin your usernames and passwords :rolleyes: "sight" as for similare names yea I agree they kinda boring to see its like see yourself 5000 times x_X lol :D

    It's really not possible to implement without a large team dedicated to do this, but imposing strict naming guidelines along with a mod approval system would be ideal. Rules like no numbers, no nonsense names, no "alternate" spellings of copyrighted characters' names... It'd never happen, because let's be honest, that would alienate a large portion of the audience.

    As for our current characters' names, we all knew all info would be wiped at the end of CB, so why all the uproar over it? I agree on no one else being able to use our forum name, but any other names should be free game. We can always put our old names in our forum signatures as an identifier, after all.

    i think making a rule to restrict names is unacceptable. why can't people have their names like SpiDERman insead of Spiderman? what if i was a huge spidy fan and someone already took that name? i would still like to have some form of that name. with the huge number of people playing this game, what are the chances of you running into another character name like yourself? if you do, you'd know that maybe they have the same interests as you. someone trying to impersonate and deflame you is a rare instance, which would fall under some form of harassment code on pw i'm sure.

    i dont have a problem pming someone name xX34BoB87xX, but i do have a problem trying to pm someone with asian characters in their names that i have no idea of typing.

    hehe in that case I vote for soft keyboard lol with options to chose what language words to type xP

    alot of times in the past i have seen companies open the server an hour or two earlier for people that participated in closed beta ofcourse work and school may prevent some from getting on at that time but it would be a fair chance to still end up with your original name so this would be a good thing for them to consider doing since this topic always appears in the forum on the game site for whichever closed beta we are testing.
