Everytime I install I get the malasian verison

Ive used the search command in my computer and deleted every file with perfect world in it then redownloaded and installed and it still installs the malasian verison

plz help?

    - Did you download the Client from this website?
    - Did you install it in a different folder then the MY version?

    Yes I downloaded from this website

    I deleted the my verison completly before I download but I dont know where it was

    Hmm...thats unusual. I don't if its because of what I'm about to say, but could be.

    It could be that you installed PW-I right after uninstalling PW-MY. So without rebooting your PC after uninstalling it might have happened that not every file got deleted and started a conflilt with PW-I files. That should not have happened normally, but its the only thing I can think of. >.<

    Uninstall PW-I -> reboot pc -> install PW-I again. If that doesn't work I can't help you.

    Yeah, it is not recommended to have two versions of PW on your PC.

    If you previously had the Malaysian one installed, and didn't fully un-install it (go to its directory and delete any remaining files, and the directories themselves after running the un-installer), then you might encounter issues like yours.

    If you know how to edit your registry to get rid of Perfect World left overs (all versions), I would do that to . Then freshly re-install PWI.

    If you don't know what the registry is, and have never edited it before, it IS NOT RECOMMENDED that you try it on your own, as you could totally nerf your PC, or brick your OS.

    Actually, the only registry key the malaysian version creates is the one that associates the .cup files with the patcher files. So it should not interfere with otehr versions.

    I have both my-en and intl on my PC in different folders and both work fine.
    @OP make sure you are downloading the correct file, try using another link from the webpage.
    PW has been endless frustration for me #2

    Yeah, it CAN be done if the user is use to computers, file structures, etc; but for most computer users it is best to not do it so they won't have any residual problems if they missed something, because they don't know what to look for, or what to keep organized correctly on their PCs.

    i wanted both versions on my computer especially so I could play MY version while waiting on this version to open. I downloaded to my computer and just told it to save.
    My trouble was the first time i downloaded it i told it to run (not save) so I was unable to extract all the files. once I saved it to my computer I was able to extract all the files just fine.

    Then I show two icons on my computer. On says perfect world (MY version) one says launcher (this version). except when I clicked on the MY version on my desk top it took me to the international log in screen. :) So basically it overwrote my MY version.

    too bad too cus I was going to give away the 8mill i had on my char there to people but not now since I cant sign on to it. Which is fine by me cus this is where I will be playing from here on out.
