Hey all, Not sure if anyone is out there is experiencing this, or ya got a friend who is atm, but a friend of mine in the states here seems to be denied services to the game and website cause it says he is outside the region for it?

Im pretty sure this is a glitch or bug and had instructed him to login to his account and change his password, seems hes denied the site as well. Any Ideas of what might be going on?

Also, is there a admin, or someone who has a email address I can pass along to him so he may get in contact with someone about the problem? Anything that could help atm would be greatly appreciated!

Well if you know he/she is not lying about what country they live in lol. Then this is defiantly a bug/problem no one is the USA should be blocked unless they got them selves banned already.

Yeah thats just it, I know him, hes been in our guild well over a year now and he says he hasnt been banned. I asked the general questions and he swears he hasnt done anything to receive the "you are out of the region for these services, contact your local area for information on a client hosted near you" or something to this nature. He tried to log back into the site to post on here about it but now he cant even get the page to load at all now! Weird!

It's possible that their IP-ban system is bugged. O.o

I would be interest to know what his Internet IP comes up as. If he's re-routing it through a proxy, then I'd also be curious to know his ISP. What I've been learning is some ISPs do wierd stuff, for example AOL (god I get nightmares everytime I think about them).

It's likely too that whatever ISP your friend has routes into the internet in some goofy non-standard method. Would need to know what IP your friend shows up as on the internet and what his ISP is. I've had two ISPs that is almost a cronic issue trying to work with, AOL and Comcast.

Yeha no proxies, no ISP rerouting, hes at a loss at this point. He has went to support to ticket it, and just now was able to access the website again but still not able to login at all. Im not sure what to tell him myself, I tried once to login into here and BOOM my whole net went down! Had to reboot and was fine after that,so not sure what could be the problem hes getting.

Be nice to hear form a Admin maybe on the post to hear of any possible solutions, or if theres something maybe he can try? Anything at this point hes asking would be a godsend.

Thanks to those helping and suggesting, we both appreciate the time and effort.

I got banned by some "fraud detection" thing (passchange wont help with this <_< tried that myself among other things since gm reply was greatly delayed), so I'm thinking it's not too unlikely that an IP ban could hit someone in the US either.

If he's inable to use the ticket system due to the ip ban, he can mail customerservice (at) perfectworldinc.com in which he should include his account name, IP ( www.whatismyip.com ), and his ISP name.

Does he live in a college dorm or apartment complex that supplies their own high-speed internet?

Sometimes some companies will IP Ban those sites automatically for some reason. I remember living at this one place and I couldn't get into playing Flyff long ago. Cause they blacklisted the address. Sometimes gaming companies will randomly pick the first set of numbers on an IP address and ban those too for security measures.

Hey Xan its Shru Im talking about! Hes even tried a proxie out of New York and the website when trying to login still says hes banned, and hes tried the game with a proxie as well and same thing. We cant figure out man wtf is going on and he assures me hes done nothing to warrant a ban in any way shape or form, so if you can hop on vent man we could really use your help if your not busy!

Also no he lives in Texas and even with a proxie he cant access the site at tiems or even his account for that matter. So somethings wrong, in fact everytime i try to come here on his behalf I have now lost my network 3 times trying to post here, this is only when hes in vent with me! I asked him if he was absolutely sure he wasnt infected and he said no. His AV and spyware/adware blockers are fully updated, so we have bno clue whats going on!

If we could possibly PLEASE get a ADMIN/GM/CM/CEO/DEV to come and at least give us some sort of nfo on if there has been any type of bans recently for the Texas area by mistake, it would help, or even a WTF? as long as someone acknowledges there is a problem and on which end does it reside!

Thanks to those who have posted with suggestions and help, anything else you guys can think of is very very much appreciated!

Try closing out vent or xfire or any 3rd party application while logging in. Also check your process list to see if there's any thing that seems suspicious that PWI may detect as a hacking program when it isn't.
