well the game was ok but I dont think this is the game for me. Now I know its in Beta but good grief , have these stupid quests where u r supposed to make these ridiculous jumps to get to a chest just so u can fall and try again that in itself makes me not like this game

Production--- yeah ok mine ore and coal, herbs-- in a lot of games but I mean come on
they are scattered so far apart that u either spend a ridiculous amt of time finding them or u end up camping waiting for them to spawn. And dont look on the minimap cause they dont show up

Quests with no direction other than kill a certain type of monster no clue where they r. just hope u can find them.

Attack is terrible --- click 3 or 4 times to get an attack going and if u use a long range attack you have to click on the monster several times again to run up for the melee attack

Quest that give coords u r supposed to go to but no way to tag the map and auto run to the position, u just keep running while u watch your coords so u can keep adjusting your path

Most of the quests dont give u a clue that u have finished them , u have to keep opening your quest log to find out

U have to manually check new equip in your backpack or in the store and then look at what u have equipped to c if its better or worse.

Quest where u need a PICKAX to open chests--- WTF is that, I lost track of how many messages i saw in the game from people who couldnt figure out how they were supposed to open the chest

No auto loot pick up. yeah i want to fight then keep clicking on each piece to pick it up

Skills-- almost no passive skills available, yeah i saw 1 or 2 once u got up around 40
I mean come on LVL 40, whats wrong with low lvl passive skills

No quest markers on the minimap-- how hard would it have been to set that up, but instead u have to run all over town looking for the little shields over the NPC's head

Need to be able to be in town and expand the map a lot bigger so that you can c all the npc's
its so small that if there r a lot of npc's they stack on top of each other so u cant c them all

If u find a good place to fight, when u need to repair your equip u have to run back to town and then run back to fight, what isnt there a teleport scroll that lets u go to town and then right back to where u were

weapon stats, i was looking at double axes/hammers versus swords. Axes/Hammers faster and more damage than a sword. ok if 1 is slower mayb it has more damage but dual weapons that r faster AND deal more damage, y bother having 1 handed weapons at all

I played for about 8 hrs yesterday and was amazed at all the things that were either glitched, missing or just plain wrong. I was going to try a little more today but when logging in I got the message that my client was a low number , try updating. Yeah right when I start the updater comes on and checks the files says I have version 4 and the start button lights up. So I figured the game was trying to tell me something ( quit playing)

The list could keep on going but I am tired of typing. Yes I know its Closed Beta but only for a month then you plan on opening it up to everybody. I think someone released this way to early
and didnt really have a good idea of what it takes to make a really great MMORPG.

Dont worry about responding I wont be back.

    Hi Scumone,

I will reply to your issues below:

well the game was ok but I dont think this is the game for me. Now I know its in Beta but good grief , have these stupid quests where u r supposed to make these ridiculous jumps to get to a chest just so u can fall and try again that in itself makes me not like this game

==>I'm sorry that you feel that way. The jumps can be done and are there to help you get use to double-jumping and getting use to the controls.

Production--- yeah ok mine ore and coal, herbs-- in a lot of games but I mean come on
they are scattered so far apart that u either spend a ridiculous amt of time finding them or u end up camping waiting for them to spawn. And dont look on the minimap cause they dont show up

==>The NPCs will tell you the general areas of where to look when they ask for materials usually. Some won't. That is part of the adventure, fun, and social parts of the game. In real life, people don't tell you everything, and where to go exactly.

Quests with no direction other than kill a certain type of monster no clue where they r. just hope u can find them.

==> That is not true. There are Spiritual Cultivation Quests (quite in depth), Dragon quests, instances, Territory Wars, and more in the game. Most NPCs will tell you the general place in which to look for things. Also press "Q" to bring up your quest menu for Quest descriptions. Also Look through and read the Help menus.

Attack is terrible --- click 3 or 4 times to get an attack going and if u use a long range attack you have to click on the monster several times again to run up for the melee attack

==> This sounds more like a lag problem or hardware/Windows side issue, then a game issue. We would need more info.

Quest that give coords u r supposed to go to but no way to tag the map and auto run to the position, u just keep running while u watch your coords so u can keep adjusting your path

Most of the quests dont give u a clue that u have finished them , u have to keep opening your quest log to find out

==> You CAN tag the map. Click on the Coordinates Assistant icon on the bottom-right of your mini-map. You will see a list of local NPCs or places on the left. Double-click on any of them to bring them into the right side of the menu. Now click on the Coordinates Assistant (CA) button again.

In the dialog box where the numbers are, delete those and type in the 6 numbers for your new coordinates that you wish to track.

Press Enter. Type in the name you want to give this location (usually an NPC name). Confirm this is what you want.

Now a newly colored arrow will appear on screen pointing you in the direction you want to go. Bring up your map by pressing "M", and there should be a flag on the map. Mouse over it, and whatever you named that location will be displayed.

U have to manually check new equip in your backpack or in the store and then look at what u have equipped to c if its better or worse.

==> Many games do this, as it is a role-playing game. Players like to sometimes have gear for physical damage protection, others elemental and will switch between them depending on what kind of battles they are getting into.

Quest where u need a PICKAX to open chests--- WTF is that, I lost track of how many messages i saw in the game from people who couldnt figure out how they were supposed to open the chest

==> The basic pick-axe is found in the towns close to where you started, for harvesting. The tools for the chests that are found that don't open yet, be patient. The game goes up MANY levels for the characters and the game expands in features as you learn how to do the basics.

No auto loot pick up. yeah i want to fight then keep clicking on each piece to pick it up

==> The hand icon (for picking up loot) is on the Hot Bar by default, some players move it to number 2 or 3 on the keyboard so they can press it easily above the "W" key.

Skills-- almost no passive skills available, yeah i saw 1 or 2 once u got up around 40
I mean come on LVL 40, whats wrong with low lvl passive skills

==> Depends on what kind of class you are. Some do things at certain levels earlier or later by design, to balance with the other classes. The Untamed Barbarian has passive skills that he gets much earlier then 30!

No quest markers on the minimap-- how hard would it have been to set that up, but instead u have to run all over town looking for the little shields over the NPC's head

==> Please see the Coordinates Assistant mentioned above.

Need to be able to be in town and expand the map a lot bigger so that you can c all the npc's
its so small that if there r a lot of npc's they stack on top of each other so u cant c them all

==> If you click on the "+" or "-" symbols next to your mini-map, you can zoom out or zoom in the mini-map 3 levels.

If u find a good place to fight, when u need to repair your equip u have to run back to town and then run back to fight, what isnt there a teleport scroll that lets u go to town and then right back to where u were

==> Some features you will find out once you are in the game longer.

weapon stats, i was looking at double axes/hammers versus swords. Axes/Hammers faster and more damage than a sword. ok if 1 is slower mayb it has more damage but dual weapons that r faster AND deal more damage, y bother having 1 handed weapons at all

==> Personal Play styles and preferences. Choices for players.

==> This is a Closed Beta, and we have open communications to report any issues that you feel are dealbreakers. We do the best we can to resolve these if we can. We will need more information and specific details as to what you feel is not working right.

The list could keep on going but I am tired of typing. Yes I know its Closed Beta but only for a month then you plan on opening it up to everybody. I think someone released this way to early
and didnt really have a good idea of what it takes to make a really great MMORPG.

==> I don't think you explored the game's user interface fully or read the help menus fully. Also, please read the dialog boxes that pop-up when you do something new, they are there for a reason ;) The game is played by over 35 million people, and has been around since 2004 I think. So something must be working.

I don't think you gave a real chance to fully explore the game and to see all of its features and various gameplay settings.

Dont worry about responding I wont be back.

==> I'm really sad to hear that. I'm hoping maybe you were just having a case of the Mondays! :D

Well, ScumOne, if you ask me, your just a bit of a baby, (No offense.) I mean you could have completely explored everything indepth, tried every class, had fun, made friends I could go on.
But you having a ***** fit at the game isn't going to make it all right now, is it? (Sorry for the curse.)
Good luck finding your suited MMORPG title.
    ~Thanks!

Just as a note to add on:

For the first, in the quest box in the upper right corner there is a "FIND QUEST" button. Click that and it'll give you an NPC and coordinates. To use the coordinates, do what he said :P

    To spoil, there IS a Town Portal skill. It's on your hotbar when you start the game >.>;;;;

I have to agree with op to some extent.
I have no lag, but attacks are sometimes inconsistent. As a Hunter(archer/ranger whatever), I use ranged, then switch to swords as the enemy gets close, but the weapons sometimes lag, or it doesn't recognize my attack if I hit it right after switching weapons.
The map doesn't have vendors/trainers etc marked on it. I'm glad you can put your own markers on the map, but then you have to find it first. I understand there needs to be some mystery and adventures to the game, but "Where's the guy that sells the pickaxe" shouldn't be one of them.
Quest mobs shouldn't drop good loot. You have to kill 12 beetle kings, but everyone and their grandmother is killing them cause they drop items that vendor well. Then, you get sent back to that same area, to kill the penguins and earth soldiers that were inconveniences before to complete another quest.
Loot pickup is slow. If a mob drops 3 things, you can hit the button its bound to, wait a second, hit it again, wait a second, hit it again. This will get very old very fast. I wanna just mash a button once and pick up everything within range.
If I alt+tab out of the game, the client is corrputed once I return. Every mouse click after returning minimizes the game.

I see these as minor issues that could easily be fixed, so please don't take this as bad-mouthing the game. There are many things done right, such as the character customization, nice looking weapons, etc.

You quit cause your a noob. I have nothing else to say, everything you say in that "I quit" post is almost 90% completely wrong. Only thing that was actually true was that lag of attacks. I can't believe you played 8 hours and can't even figure out the basics of this game. Do you even know how to play games? Or are you just some dude that likes to grind continuously and end up finding out basic contents of the game after each and every "I quit" thread?

Pressing and holding the F-key makes my character pick up everything within range. In succession, of course, but he automatically moves to the next nearest piece. Might be a bit quicker.

This one is well known, and is quite common in several games if you're running full screen mode. I would recommend just running in window mode, at the same resolution as your desktop so it looks full. Shouldn't have any problem switching between tasks then. Not ideal, but it works. :)

They actually are marked on the minimap. all the yellow dots are NPCs and if you hover over one, it will display which NPC it is. Also, if you open your coordination panel, there are some default flags for the NPCs for this area. Just 2x click on a NPC name in that list and it will add a flag to your list - so you don't have to find the NPC first before you can set a flag for it
Quest mobs shouldn't drop good loot. You have to kill 12 beetle kings, but everyone and their grandmother is killing them cause they drop items that vendor well.
There are many alternative spots for the same monsters, but newbies tend to use the one they see first - i simply use other spawn points

Oh and quest descriptions explain a lot, each first profession quest mentions that a pick-axe can be bought off a ... vendor in this version?

Start -> settings -> control panel -> regional settings -> install east asian languages will fix this problem. You may need your windows installation cd.

that the clicking for picking up items is faster here than in MY version
I dont feel that the wait inbetween items is as long. I will try the alt-f and see if that works
would rather hold down a button than click repeatedly to pick up items.

I have played for a few months now and am still finding out things on the interface that I didnt know about.
for example. after about 2 months I finally figured out how to make a combo
(open skills... click new... choose an icon for the combo you want to make...then drag the icon of the skill-spell you want first, then second, then third and so forth. tell it done and then drag the combo icon to your hot bar and there you have it)
the thing I learned this morning was all of my combos quit attacking after they were done and I had to click the monster again to start attacking it. I finally figured out that on on the combo add the sword icon ( means attack) at the end of your combo and then you auto attack when the combo is done...loads less clicking now.

I am really sorry he is giving up so easily. every MMORPG is unique. there are things that you like and dislike about every one. This game chooses to have plenty of mats but they are just scattered around the map instead of having a rock in one spot that you have 20 chars wailing away on.
I know numerous people who have routes mapped out that they travel over the course of ten minutes. they end up back where they started and the first ones have respawned (10 min spawn rate)

One of the things I like about this game is that there is soo much to do that I can play for many months and still not have done half of the things in the game. (need to get adventuresome I guess :) )

My one major grip would be that there are so many npc's, items and such that are not active yet. casino npc, kungfu npc. there is a new years item on the merchandiser that is not active yet. (cost me 1100 to find out LOL) the boots for a mount that are not active, housing,
but time will tell if they will be activated later on down the road.

I firmly believe that this version will be the best version available. the dev's sound like they are committed to making this work and work well.
    keep up the good work
