I was reading the FAQ and it says that any country that have an Official PW server will have an Ip Block.
But if Europe won

Europe is a exception. Every country with a PW version besides EU will be IP blocked.

The reason why Europe is not blocked is because it was announced AFTER they announced PW-Intl. They couldn't just start banning all the european people who already decide to play here.
PW has been endless frustration for me #2

And with the release of the EU version the same will happen to them an IP block. This is how games work to ensure high quality and service among players.

Not really, no. I suggest to stop ''guessing'' facts. Just don't bother replying

You will see then. I am not guessing based on lack of prefound evidence I am making an assumption based on F2p games with multi regions being locked.... So like I said you will see.

o.O Ummm no, I hope they won't ban europeans lol. BTW the guys who said that europe will be IP blocked should read xarfox's post, he says it won't.
Since a GM clarified it there's not really any need to discuss it anymore.

What post? It will be blocked with the release of the EU.... Its obvious go look at any other MMO out there they are all region locked. Nice try though. Having EU people here will just cause issues with lag and languages.

Xarfox at the time said for any country that has a PW. Well EU is coming so he said they wouldn't block EU but that was before the announced EU version so it will on all accord be IP blocked when the EU comes online. If it does not I and I hope others will petition it as it will cause issues and be dishonest for them to be here and not play their own region.

The GMs here know about the PW-EU version and PW-I will still NOT ban Europeans.
The EU version won't ban NA players either have I been told.

This version when the statement was made there was no EU version. Now that there is the company will be forced to do an IP block. You all talk without thinking and knowing how this licensing system works don't ya? Read up on how games get licensed they cannot and will not be able to keep from doing an IP block. If they allow this the developer of the game should and could remove their rights to license it. That is how these free MMOs work.

I suggest you, vem0m, to read the following thread: http://pwi-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=4961 and take a close look at page 4, 6 and 10.

IIRC they had this issue in another version of the game. They did do the IP ban but they only banned new players. Older players from the banned region where still able to play. Whatever the GMs do I'm sure it will be best for the game and I will support them, if it be better business wise or player wise. As long as the game keeps going.

That thread means nothing if you read on page 4 the admin said clearly he would have to contact corporate... Nothing more has been said. Indications from previous games and such show it will be blocked believe me or not PWI will have no control over it the developers will. Sorry to burst your bubble. Flame away i don't care I see it coming and I am warning those people who don't want to be at a loss to be careful.

It's very refreshing to see the admins here aren't afraid to stake their credibility like this, and say flat out yes or no on an issue.

Let's just hope you're right though.
no need to hope that i'm right. tis the truth, heheh.

I will have to agree with vem0m on this. There is no doubt that they will block EU ips or stop EU's from registering and just the let people that currently have an account or are playing already still play. I can't see PW-EU letting EU people playing on the US version at all because that would mean they will be losing business. It's the most logical reason if you guys stop and think about it.

Also, you can't believe what GM's say until it's all said and done. I'll take everything they say with a grain of salt. I've played far too many MMO's to know that you can't trust any GM's word.

I'd have to go with atiori on this, he showed quotes from admins which actually work for PWI. Sure they can be wrong but basing the fact that some other games you've played have blocked other regions does NOT mean they will do it here.

Unless you have facts I really don't think you should make assumptions on if they will be blocked or not.

Those are good valid points. Only way to be certain is to wait and see I guess :) Just hope it wont end up like it was in DOMO, EU company talking the developers to IP ban EU from the US servers and pissing alooot of players off =P

For the last time they said those things before talking to corporate and before the EU was announced... Look up and read how these games are licensed there will have to be a block there is no way there wouldn't be as there would be a big loss of money on hand if anyone from other regions were allowed into other regions games. This is how free MMOs work there is no changing it as everyone is a business. If you want to deny it go for it I am tired of trying to show facts when people are to ignorant to look around and see them.

Find a post from after the EU version was announced saying that there will be no EU IP blocking.
