Patch server dropping connection?

I've been trying to update my game for 3 hours, but its like the patch server keeps dropping the connection. It will update for 1-2 seconds, then stop and it will pop up asking to retry (which makes it start over again).

I also have had the same problem with the website (www.perfectworld.com). It loads the page for a couple seconds, then stops transmitting data. I have to hit refresh several times before it eventually comes up completely (probably because the data it already loaded is cached and can load more in the 1-2 seconds it has of transfer).

I hoped that it was just going to be the website (its always done it), but apparently its all of the PWI servers which makes it very hard to patch.:D

Also, I'm not sure if its related, but I can't ping any of the servers (patch, game, or website).

NOTE: I'm located in the US, so I'm not getting IP banned or anything like that. (I hope ;))

Yeah, tasks.data is what I'm stuck on as well. Must be one of the bigger files so its more likely to get cut off. :(

Strangely enough, it seems the website (www.perfectworld.com) is no longer having this disconnection issue for me, but the patcher still is. Still can't ping it, either.

EDIT: Tried to download the PWI downloader. Same problem (downloads for 1-2 seconds then gets disconnected). I can ping the download.perfectworld.com server, so the fact that I can't ping the other servers seems to be irrelevant.

    Nope; Windows XP SP3.
I'm pretty sure the problem is on their end as I don't have a problem with any other version of PW or with any other website.
