Wipe after OB

I was searching the forums but I couldn't find this information confirmed by a GM. Question is: Is there going to be a wipe after OB? And I want a reply from a GM/Admin and not member theories. Sure it usually is, that there won't be a wipe after OB just like MY-EN had. The fact is, I couldn't find any confirmation by an admin.

    According to the FAQ there is only going to be a wipe after CB to make way for OB :)

    Actually, although I can't find the exact post where all the Q/A were answered, I think it was confirmed by Orin that there WILL be a character wipe. Let me go get the quote.

    Edit:

    Q : Will our chars be deleted at the end of closed beta?
    A : Yes, we are currently planning to wipe all characters at the end of our beta phase. (Xarfox)

    They've confirmed a planned wipe after CLOSED beta, but haven't said anything about the OPEN beta yet.

    Lol what can ya say everyone talkin about CB didnt read the thread. OB will most likely not be wiped im struggling to think of a F2P Game that had Open Beta wiped @_@

    well the MY-En "open beta" which appeared after the "closed beta" had cash shop, so soon as cash shop appears i would bet real money *irony* that there will be no wipes.

    it's pretty obvious.

    The only information we have is that there will be an open beta after the closed beta. The closed beta lasts for around a month.

    No idea how long it will be between the end of closed beta, and the start of the open beta. No idea how long open beta will last. No idea if there will be a character wipe after open beta. Admins have not confirmed any of these points.

    They are probably too busy making the latest preparations for closed beta.

    it's pretty obvious.

    In all of the games i have done beta for CB or OB i find that this is true. once the cash shop is working they don't seem to do a character wipe, Also i find that as long as no major problems or exploits are found during OB there normally isn't a character wipe.

    99.99999999999 % sure there WONT be a OB wipe.

    The defenition of open beta is after all that the server goes live for public use and they basicly just check that the minor adjustments(if any) after CB is working well. The only reason there would be a OB wipe would be if there was some kind of huge bug with the server that allowed a percentage of the comunity to exploit it and gain some unfair advantage.. but even then its unlikely.

    I actually didn't pay any attention of Ryuuzaki being a mod, hence I do not treat other people different than the staff.

    Runescape by Jagex (Though this was YEARS ago, they had a wipe as OB ended back then)
    I am unsure if Flyff had a wipe as OB ended, but I believe they did. Haven't played that in years either.

    There are more out there. OB is also a BETA phase, remember that. So if they wipe after Beta phase, then the OB characters will also be wiped.

    No it just means they haven't explained anything about OB yet because we are just starting closed beta when closed beta is finished then they will talk about the OB enough said.
