Soo since we all realised by now the counter on the main page uses local time of the person looking at it, those lucky australians will get to play CB 1 day before the rest of us.. or not.

Can the GM/admin/somone give us some kind of estimate when on the 19'th they plan to launch and in case the worst happens and something went wrong that would push the date back. How about giving us a heads up before the 19'th rather than having to deal with all the suicide notes and death threats that will be posted in the forums on the 19th?

    im pretty sure whether if ur in the US or in AUS.. or in other remote area that no one cares about.. the timer will show exact amount of time as everyone else:)
    and i think they plan to launch it at midnight of aug 18-19 ^_^
    but thats my guess :D:D

    a midnight launch is ridiculous, whos goin to wait till midnight to launch a server and then you have to spend the rest of the night checking stats and server response to load etc...

    A typical scenario would be a start of business hours launch like 8-9am.

    I keep the client open to view the server status just in case :p Doesn't use much resources anyway, just hope it's working :D

    Some of us have jobs and other things to do, its just natural to want to know some kind of time to know if its worth it staying up late (for some) or getting up early(for others) or to shift other plans around so two things dont overlap.

    Also patience of for ppl with no desire or drive in life. I prefer going to get things rather than waiting for them to come to me.

    According to the timer, I will have the launch by midnight tomorrow. But that's GMT+1 hours, which will be 6 hours earlier than East coast time.

    That will make the launch at 6 am EST (I think East Coast time is). That doesn't sound unreasonable to me. Very early Monday morning seems a decent time to me. That's before the main traffic comes on, so there's a little time to make sure the servers are actually running.

    my timer says midnight tomorrow as well, and im usually up that late anyways, so no big deal to me.

    A midnight lauch would make sure the login server will not be flooded in the first few minutes. It could also allow them to tweak some last minutes stuff if they see something going wrong with the first logins.

    The midnight launch if ever would give them time to check all the systems while players slowly and little by little log in to play. That would be better than having all of us log in at the same time and the server explodes - obviously that won't happen.

    uhm actually.. midnight in the usa is nice and morning-ish in the rest of the world.
    How many of us will wake up early to play the game? If you ask me it wil be much less than the rset of us nerds/geeks/whatevers thats anyways up till 1am.

    And you keep forgetting this is a business, they have employees with work hours. If your boss tells you to come work a midight -> morning sift would you find it normal?

    Lets not guess all day long and give the other brainless ones in the forum false ideas and hope the staff will be able to give some kind of response.
