The biggest issue maybe: r.m.t.

This may be an easy question, the anwser usually isn't. How will this version cope with RMT?

To be honest I expected more of this subject. It's a hot item with new releases. Big ships sunk under the RMT flag. Actually, it's the biggest issue with any new game.

So, anyone?

Real Money Trading. Some 24/7 players make game's their work.. their business. Get 'friends' to write 3rd party programs and afk bot for gold, or worse. These people won't care about ruining a server for some profit.

    Ring a bell?'

Sorry, I'm not a native english speaker, so ....

They said they will take care of bots and gold sellers....

Banning China's IPs is already a good move toward it .

But sadly, some will still make it into the game for certain... Nothing is foolproof against bots and gold farmers.

Good way to take care of them : Have a GM monitor the starting area near the venomancer's village 24 hours a day / 7 days a week for the first month.

That way they'll catch most of the bots in their early levels.

It's inevitable. It's all up to the GMs to avoid these issues. And I do not know how much an advantage or disadvantage gold farmers/sellers are for the game itself. This is related ofcourse to the effort GMs wish the put into these gold farmer "issues".

If that is true, even the more reason to be very clear about zero tolerance policies. Or whatever. Less reason to ignore the issue, ore even try and make fun of it.

Agree, but you are still part of it as well.

Advantage? None. You have to joking here. Disadvantages? Genuine players get bend over a barrel.

lol again thats an easy way too look at it. I agree but you are part of it as well. AS an example: don't buy their stuff, report botters.

OR! We could let the real game start (this is still closed beta) and see how things pan out.

Why do some people ***** regardless of ... you have no ideea how/if the GMs will deal with people attempting to bot and/or sell in-game gold yet you blather and blather and blather....

Some people get real icky when you get into certain topics. In RL or on the Internet. RMT certainly is one of them Internet ones. It's almost a taboo to talk about.

That's ok it will take people a while. Understood. Talking about actions to avoid people from ruing game economies by cheating with funds while trying to make money by selling it as well, should be avoided. uhuh ok.

Talking is one thing, crying about it is a totally different issue.

Also, all this "talk" here assumes that the company which will be deploying this version of Perfect World has not considered the possibilities at the disposal of the people willing to use rmt.

Also, despite the fact that not you or anyone else here has seen what those measures are, you still find it necessary to discuss the issue, I would assume, in the childish hope that you (or perhaps someone else) will find a magical solution which will, without doubt, give you Internet Fame (TM).

That's alright munchkin, keep at it!

Ah we are getting somewhere. Well that's a start.

Don't forget that you read words as you want to interpret them. I smiled while posting any of this, drink cola and eating cookies. You people go straight in for the kill if you don't agree with something. Look at how many times you invited me to throw **** back. I'm not here for trolling with you, even though it's fun.

I'm here just to make 1% of the forum people think again when they see shouts for 'I'm selling gold'. Why make it so personal?

RMT is a big issue, whether you care or not. If you don't like the message, just don't look into the topic.

i can tell from your attitude in this thread (the way you accused me of being a botter just because i said i buy from the cash shop - crazy much?) you'd be the type that goes around accusing every single afk person of botting.

you just seem paranoid, and overly-concerned about one issue that may or may not be already factored in and taken care of by the admins here.

why don't you just stfu and wait for game to start.
