I am wondering if I will see things like these, on this official server too :

"pic removed"

Ive just left one private server, because of this. Edited items came up from nowhere and they couldn't find out how to stop, remove or prevent this "editing".

    1. discussion of illegal servers will likely get you banned
    2. private servers of any game almost always use either outdated leaked software, or use buggy emulators programmed by 8 year olds

    How is it spam? I've never heard of any such thing on a real server, so I'd say the pserver you're playing on sucks and you're being paranoid.
    Private servers always suck and always will.

    Oh they suck eh? Then why when people created "ghost servers" on a game i know as final fantasy 11 the whole thing ended up in a COURT case? Huh? do you have an answer?:o:confused:

    FF11 sucks as a whole, so that's pretty irrelevant.

    Just because a pserver can attain a large userbase worthy of attracting a game company's lawyers doesn't mean it's GOOD. It just means that it's FREE and people don't like to SPEND MONEY.

    Look at the now pretty much nonexistant l2p (yes they're making a lame custom emulator but that counts as nonexistant, emulators are ****). They were running outdated C4 L2 and had 3k+ users per server, somewhat comparable to official.
    But the facts are:
    Pros:
    -free
    -rates high enough for casual players to enjoy
    -high rates are good for testing, though the server may not be reliable as far as how skills function

    Cons:
    -Private servers lose revenue from the real game, thus slowing its development.
    -Private servers wipe, have **** admins, shut down by FBI or sued into oblivion, etc bulls***.
    -Corruption. If you thought you've seen corruption on official mmos, you were wrong. It often can't compare to how bad pservers can get.
    -Outdated if using leaked server software - all L2 pservers use C4 or modified C4 that accepts newer game clients, RO servers use aegis which has been dead for ages, heard you have to use an emulator as a login server lol
    -Up to date-ish but ridiculously buggy and fake feeling if using an emulator (lolathena and lolfreya and loL2j are great examples of emulator g**ness.)
    -Bad geodata, only L2 server admin I've seen that can do it right was tontor
    -many servers use ridiculous customizations
