length of beta?

well, really I have a few questions, not sure if anyone knows the answers.

is there a closed beta AND an open beta (in the future)? and if so, is there a character wipe in between (or just one at the end, before full release).
how long is the beta going to be?
how many chars can you have on one account? (specifically for the beta, I would like to know, and is it different for full release?).

and...is it feasible to try 4 chars to see how the different classes are? (in order to make final decision of my char when beta is over and chars are wiped).

    You can create 8 characters on the same account, so you can try out anything you want ^^

    About a month depending how many bugs are their, and how fast they will be reported by players.

    so I guess I should try 2 chars in Closed Beta and 2 in Open Beta
