Will PK penalties be different on the "pvp" server?

There will be PK penalties. You might drop your items if you''re red named unless they're soulbound.0

base on i have played in taiwan's version for more than a year
you kill people out of town, no matter what type of reason u have, ur name will turn pink for few min, but if you keep on killing people, then ur name will turn red
after ur name turn red, whoever kill u, there is chance that u might drop something from ur bag if u die.
but whoever die, u wont get any penalties for ur exp etc
if ur name become red, and u are scared of getting killed by someone else, then u can stay in town, by the time pass, ur name will change back to white
Hint: u can only kill ppl when ur level reach 30, then ur name will become white from blue0 -

I pmed a PVP suggestion to a few admins, It was forwarded to developers in Beijing so I am hoping some of them were implemented ^^
The suggestions were based around the PVP system Rohan had. Which was very good IMO.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

I seriously doubt any of that will be implemented. The only repercussion to pking is buying dolls to not drop your equipment. Why are they going to let you roam around and pk at will without any repercussion, and suffer less profits for it?0

I also suggested that you could lose items while white, but have it be a bigger percentage chance of white names dropping items, and make it only possible to drop if someone 0-5 levels above/below them kill them.
With even number being ~20% to drop items
and minus 2.5% for each level.

PW's PVP system is really good already i would say....
but, later on when u are like lvl 70+, u dont need a good weapon and armor to kill lvl 30.
so u can fk around and kill ppl who is 30-40 easy....then they stay in town until their name change back to white
ppl who get killed will be pisss offf0 -

What are you trying to get? A gankfest of reds killing whites knowing they have a 20% chance to drop their gear? Thats ****!
Sure there is a chance to drop if a red kills a white, but it should be more like 1% chance, not freaking 20%, no matter what level.
If that were the case then reds should have a 100% chance to drop equipped/Inventory items when justice is served to them.

Something that harsh would discourage PKing and defeats the whole purpose of the PK system.

I actually like the PK system implemented by the PW-MY servers (and game).
The only things I would change would be:
1) Currently with that system, if you are white name with PK off, and a red name attacks you - You only risk losing items by fighting back. I mean come on - What lame system penalises you for defending yourself?
If you don't have dolls, and play a weak class like I do (Cleric) the only thing you can do is just stand there and let them kill you.
2) The use of Dolls mean that very rich or high level red named characters can go round ganking other players without fear of themselves losing items if they are killed. This is a money making idea from Beijing, and I can't see them removing it - although I really hate this system.
It effectively means the very rich or very high level players can PK others without fear of repercussion of any kind.0 -
I'm no PvP expert, so I won't comment on the proposed changes themselves.
But don't get your hopes too high in seeing any changes implemented.
Remember, those are the same devs who find it easier to close an event (forrest ruins) instead of working on a fix for it....
So, having them to work on changes in the PvP mechanics is kinda doubtful...

Even though the admins and moderators try their best to suit the gamer's needs at the end of the day what Karmelia said is right. These are some lazy devs >_>!0 -

Cash shop games are designed with... let's call them nuances. These nuances are ALL negative. They're the penalties and punishments that make games fail, and they almost always become more taxing the higher level a character is (like the item drop penalty being more threatening when you're using HH golds, versus lvl30 in blues). They will then sell you "maintenance" items which will remove those nuances.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

in pvp server, you are free to pk after lv30
in pve server, you can switch your pk mode. you can only pk against those who are also in pk mode.0 -
Yeah, Rohan had 10 kills to be red. Then again when you were red in Rohan you couldn't enter in any towns or join any groups.0
