Texas??

Hey everyone, this is kinda off topic, but kinda PW related too so gonna post it on General Discussion.

Well I moved to Texas 2 years ago, is Texas considered East Coast or West Coast??
I live near Dallas to be more specific.....

    It don't matter much really. You can play on any of the four server.

    I suggest you go on the server where most of your friends will play.

    So what your saying is I'm between West and East Coast and my ping will be the same on both servers;)

    From what I saw from the server's IP, they are all localted at the same place, so it don't matter.

    If they are not in the same spot, you will most likely not lag much more on one or the other. The US internet backbone is much better than the malaysian's....

    It is all in the same spot I believe, it is just that times are based differently.

    Cool well I'll go East Coast then, but I thought most RQ players are from West Coast.

    Possibly, but we don't mind bending over backwards for our Euro players :P

    Now regarding the difference between East and West. Timed events will be different depending on the server's timezone. Other than that, if you live on the East Coast then the East Coast servers will be optimized to provide you with maximum performance, same goes for West

    If you live in the Central or Eastern time zones, it's best to play the Eastern server.

    If you live in the Mountain or Western time zones, it's best to play on the Western server.

    I live in the dallas/ft Worth area too and I have traditionaly pinged better to east coast than west coast. I will choose east coast also because I would think most European players would chose East as well.

    oh btw they say "servers are optimized to provied the MAXIMUM perfomance..."
    this means that, there's a chance you'll get 100% lag free gameplay for XX minutes.

    They've done a good job with setting up good ISP and Server, so now their average perfomance (which we'll all be getting) is pretty darn good.

    their MAX will be like GODLY! 0_0

    I live in Dallas too... I regularly visit my significant other in Plano, work in Addison and live in Richardson. I have to say, I've never been on an mmorpg where so many people live in the same city as I do. At least there will be a good chance of being able to make friends with people close to me ^_^
