Blademaster using Axes.

AoEs aren't that useful in this game unless they are continuous AoEs such as the mage's roasting fire array and the archer's bugged arrow bombard.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0
-
axe WR or WB both aoe faster than any other class in the game, and with the proper equipment and skill, can solo aoe faster than a zhen party..[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0

Have you ever been to a TW? Warriors AOE-Stun, Mages and Werebeasts AOE to kill or mages can use AOE's at the entrance to their area to keep the enemies out.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
i only use 1 aoe and finish with perdition (if at all)[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0

I don't think once a week constitutes as useful? Maybe I just have a different definition.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

Hmm.
I've already stated that continuous AoEs are more useful. Read my previous posts please.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
It's wizard.
1.Wrath of the Water Dragon
2.Sea of Flame
3.Rite of Sacrifice
4.Wings of the Phoenix
5.Fiery Storm
6.Isolated Explosion
7. Weight of the Mountain
Nuff said.
You cant spam ultimate skills, so only 1 can be used once in a while
No one uses that skill, because the damage is so **** and it kills you because you lose 60% of your HP
If this skill is considered to be a good AoE, then spear WRs would be good at AoE too. But they're not, straight line AoEs are ineffective
Now i would like to see someone use that in a PvP/PK/TW situation
This skill is only availible in chinese version at lvl 100, we wont get these skills anytime soon, because if our version gets upgraded to match the Chinese version, that means we lose Forest Ruin before we even get it.
The only effective AoEs that MGs get is their lvl 59 ultimate skill.
Axe WRs are the best at AoE, whether be AoE leveling on monsters or rushing into a bunch of enemies and wiping them out with constant AoEs.ULTIMATE TOPIC:

I think roasting fire array is quite useful.
Also we are getting the new skills for all classes in this version. You can see them in the dev video. But on top of being 100 you also have to craft the new skill, similar to crafting weapons. The items you need drop from the level 89 dungeons.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
Blademater Axe are the best at Aoe'ing, Wizards has the most I think, but Blademaster is best at it.

MG's array is good for zhen leveling, but it's the last skill you wanna use in pvp.
This skill requires the MG to be close to the enemy, which is the last place any MG want to be in when engaged in pvp.ULTIMATE TOPIC:

QFT.
This is why you don't listen to people who look at the skill descriptions and think they know it all (without having played the class obviously.)
MG is anything but the best AoE class. Axe WR can solo AoE effectively from about 39 onwards. I routinely solo AoEd 4, 5, even 6 mobs with mine from 3x through 6x. It only gets better at higher levels too, like 80+.
Note to Admins: Seems the "multiquote" function doesn't work. I was trying to quote both the above post and the one it quotes due to the color coding added. Maybe I've misunderstood the function but it seems to do nothing right now.0 -
As massamune said above, Axe WR with a EP can solo AOE really well since 39+. Their AOEs are more effective than others, include MG or EA's which only good for zhen.
In TW, MG's best skill is not AOE, it is the skill that consume HP to deal dmg ( I didn't play mage in MY, so idk the skill name...).
But PW is different from other game, cause AOE skill doesn't play a big role, high dmg skills are.Why...so...serious?

Haven't you guys ever heard of fury pots?[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
Haven't you guys ever heard of fury pots?
Doesnt change the fact that a wiz uses paper armor and will die from solo aoe'ing.
In a zhen party Wiz or Archer is great, archer having a lil more def.
Axe WR is the only class that can solo AOE with good success using HP hieros and some pots.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

definitive answer = axe warrior (blademaster) best aoe class (only one that can solo quickly and actually take the hits, which mages cannot do).0
-
theres offcourse multiple answeres here...
for solo AoEing blademaster is no doubt best, but a wizard however has the most damaging AoE spells, but thats a bad idea solo.
so like everywhere, theres no single best class, each shines in different situations0 -
Anyways, I'll give my experience as a lvl 95 MG from the MY-EN server.
*fyi, sorry I'll be using MY-EN terms since I'm not familar with the INT terms yet.
That HP sacrifice spell is absolutely horrible under any circumstance. Not only does it drain a huge chunk of your HP, but it also requires getting really close to mobs or other players..just plain craptacular.
The single most damaging AoE skill in TW without a doubt is mountain press. In TW, for some reason, people like to bunch up in tight groups. Moutain press not only does massive dmg, but also stuns them for roughly 6 seconds or more when maxed. I typically pair up mountain press followed by another AoE skill called hail storm while the group of people are still stunned from the mountain press.
MGs also have a stun skill called blasting point (single target only) that can be cast from long range, but can be upgraded to AoE stun with book. The upgraded blasting point is actually better than the WR stun spell because it also does AoE stun, but from max range. WRs need to get in close range to stun..and also vigor. BP doesn't require vigor.
PvE wise, phoenix wings is one of the most useful spells because it also knocks back mobs...which can only help your MG survive longer.
As for dealing the most AoE dmg, it really depends on gear and also element of the mob. For those people saying axe WRs do the most AoE dmg, that only applies on neutral mobs. For mobs of certain elements, the extra dmg boost from using the correct element makes MG do more dmg.
As for soloing, 1) it's not soloing if you're paired up with EP 2) draining massive FU while soloing doesn't point to a very good soloer. Any class can drain massive FU to solo, but yes WRs are the best at massive draining FU soloing XP, but MG/EP/EA can also massive drain the FU to zhen as well, except we can go afk ;p
But again, all this depends on the mobs and the skill/gear of the person. MGs may not be good against physical mobs, but MGs tank the best on elemental mobs (i.e. fb59). Not only that, by the time you get to fb99, some (maybe all??) bosses are immune to physical dmg, so you require/beg MG to tank fb99.
However, in normal questing, MG aoe spells are rarely used since you'll be killing 1 mob at a time for the most part. AoE spells do come in handy when you're "helping" with fbs later on and can aoe 1-shot every mob in fbs.
*edit I forgot to mention that alot* of MGs will go heaven, which will grant them the heaven skill that gives 50 vigor every minute if i recall. So in terms of gaining vigor to use for those 2 fury aoe spells, the heaven skill becomes useful in practical situations.0 -

Pyro-Edge Tempest and Cyronite Dragon are the highest damaging spells, not Mountain Press. Blasting Point is a seal, not a stun.0 -

Pryo edge is half physical damage and as more people in TW focus on pdef, it wil do less dmg. Both the water and fire aoe don't have the aoe stun effect as well, which makes them less useful. Factor in the ability to do double aoe, mountain press + hail storm due to mountain press stun, it is in fact the highest dmg.
stun and seal not big difference. the most important thing is the target can't attack or use any skills.0 -

I find that Pyro-edge does more damage on everything but heavy armor. Everyone in TW is not running around with heavy armor. For maximum damage its Pyro-edge or Cryonite. Mountain press, as you have said, is a utility aoe, not a damage one. Who says you can't follow up Cryonite with a Hailstorm?
Stun and seal are a big difference. You can't move when stunned, you can when sealed. The upgrade to blasting point is only a 3 meter radius, and it's a seal. This, to me, in no way compares with a 10 meter aoe stun from a warrior.
Btw, not sure if anyone knows this but mage can AOE solo with fire array. To answer the topic, though, I'd just say Humans are the best AOE. Both warriors and mages have excellent AOE ability, but different flavors; depends on what flavor you like.0 -
In fb 99 there are little, if any, bosses that are immune to physical. That is the dumbest thing I've ever heard.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0
-
there's only like 2 bosses in the game (i think?) that are physical immune and a WB can still tank (and hold agro) them with poison fang :P[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0

Hail storm following pyro edge doesn't work as well because the people aren't stunned and people in general are more protected against physical than magic in TW. Mountain press still does the most dmg + that stun. Aoe stun + mass dmg is by far the most useful.
Yes they can move, but they can't do anything else when sealed. For example, WRs need to get close to stun, BP can be used from max range. Often times, MG can BP a WR right before they use their stun as they're running towards you and you can kill them off.
And my point is that lots of classes can aoe while massively burning FU or "solo with EP", so the comparisons are moot.0
