Why do you have to rush leveling in Beta?

What is the point during beta? Characters get wiped before release, so why the big deal about being the highest level fast?

I'm going to probably try each class to get the feel for them all and decide what I want from there to take into release.

I cant see how racing for highest level to make yourself feel good will accomplish anything unless you are an Emo/Epeen stroker that needs attention.

Doing all that grinding at later levels will burn you out I would assume and then the wipe?

I sure would wait till release to do that and use the Beta to "feel" the game and seek out what your main will be.

I dont mean to sound rude but reading some of the posts here tends to make me think "How do kids get into betas?"

No, there isn't a point to leveling fast in CB (unless we have raised Exp). I'll probably test out the low levels to see how this version is different. I might make one character of each race (3 chars).

There may also be level-restricted new contents (new = not activated on the malaysian servers) that will be available.

Like Frostwind Walk, available in the mid-70's.

There are also lower level things that were not implemented there...

The "Goddess Apostle" thing start in the 40's I think.

    Crescent valley.. no idea

And at least one other I never saw ( one that requires one mirage stone to enter)

one reason why people will b lving so fast is that the majority of the bugs are in the higher lvs as kamirea has said after 40 + most of the things weren't implanted currently on the my.en servers god apostle was not implanted and there are ppl who also want to create there guilds so that some one else doesn't steal the names most of us have our guilds in our Sig's and i for one am trying to reach lv 30 the day the server opens to see if there will b any thing different because thats where the real fun starts

Crescent valley is a level 85 dungeon. It's similar to 3-3 of HH

I'd be very interested to know what kind of equipment can be obtained from Crescent Valley... Gold stuff, I know, but specifics would be great. Hopefully it'll be implemented in this version.

I, for one, will be taking things slowly. Aside from the fact that I don't have a lot of spare time to play, I've also never played the game before. I'm looking forward to exploring every little thing in detail. ^_^

i agree to every thing u said there is no point in having beta if everything is going to be wiped out. the only reason why there is any kind of beta is because it is there to just let us try out thing and to let us get a sense of wat the real game is like, also to let us experiment with things, such as the characters and so on. ;)

You really need all types anyway. Some people have the time and inclination to grind hardcore, especially if they've played other versions and know what they're doing. The point of beta testing is to check everything out, so we all have a part to play. ^_^

I also downloaded PW-MY a few days ago, but never bothered installing it. I was going to investigate the controls and things, but... ehh, I'll just wait.

I've been playing PW-MY on and off for the last couple of months. I really like exploring, so, unfortunately, questing and leveling take me forever.

(I didn't even know that there was going to be an international version anytime soon until just today. ): But I was lucky enough to get myself a key for CB, so I'm happy. :D)

No rushing for me, though, because, firstly, it's not really something I like to do anyway, and secondly, school starts the day after CB launches.

As long as you enjoy to play the way you do, there is nothing wrong with that.

And welcome with us here! ;)

I think I'd like to rush levelling so I can do some good war in Closed. That way, I'll gain more fame for Open.
... I hope we get a 2m+ prize for CB participation. I'd like to make my guild level 2 right off the bat.

If that does occur how long do you think it will take to get it to level three. (I'll try help best I can if needed)

Yah! Spent months on other servers, but it's great, so restarting on a new server is no problem!

I wouldn't _rush_ to level, but leveling casually is surprisingly fast. Also, if the territory system is open, then even in the 30's (which some people have stated they will accomplish in one day ^_^") will be a great help, as long as there are some insanely fast leveling players who can tank the mobs and the boss. People might even be able to take a territory by the second week (the week after beta starts which is on a Tuesday). That's at least one incentive join a guild during beta, would be to help test out the territory system.

The point of having a beta is so that the makers can find out glitches etc.

Make sure they have everything normal and ready for the real beta.

If you dont play normaly they might not catch some bugs.

Level 3 is hard. 2m for level 2, and then 10m for for level 3. So, if I owned a land, I could use the 10m/week one week to do that. That'd be equal to everybody pitching in 100k to help out.

Im not 100% sure that is their main reason for this CB. This isnt a new game so the only bugs i can see are coming from the additions/interface modifications they made. I think this beta is more leaned towards gaining statistics. IE) tweaking the servers to run their best. finding how many people will actually play...

Ambie the style in which you write reminds me of someone I used to know. Have you by any chance played Mechquest and/or Dragonfable? (More DF primarily)

As for myself. I won't be level rushing...exactly. I will be leveling 3 characters at once though and looking to get all 3 to at least 40 for quest guides.

well, i am not gonna rush my character, because thats not the fun of the game,
the game is about doing quests and exploring the game itself,
for me on the other hand, is to make friends, getting high level, getting cool items, and explore the game on a normal playing rate.

why rush? i think you are a nurd if you rush only your levels because you want to be the best.

OMG, 3 characters at once!:eek::eek:

Just kidding. Your quest guides are a real help! I actually do hope they change some of the names of the npcs from the MY-EN version. :p
