Here, I tried to gather answers to our questions that Orinj and Xarfox gave us. For newcomers, it would be good to read this before asking something...
Q : Is this game free to play?
A : Yes. It's a free to play game with cash shop / item mall
Q : What account will be used to log into the game? A new one or the one made for the forums?
A : the account that you use to log into the forums will be the same one that you use to log into the game. (Orinj)
Q : Will there be IP blocks for some countries?
A : Any country that currently has licensed Perfect World will be blocked. This includes Malaysia, Philippines, China, Vietnam, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, and others. (Xarfox)
Q : Will there be an IP block on Europe?
A : No. We will not be banning any IPs from Europe. (Xarfox)
Q : Will there be GM coverage for all time zones?
A : Yes.
Q : Is there some king of GMs code of conduct for this game?
A : Yes
Q : What types of server will there be?
A : One will be Open-PvP, another one will be optional PvP, where it can be turned on or off at your discretion.
Q :I don't like the idea of an Open-PvP / Optional PvP server. Would you reconsider your decision and make both servers identical?

Q : Will there be a Role-Play server?
A : we currently have no plans to have an RP specific server (Xarfox)
Q : Will you limit the number of lands a guild can take?
A : No, as long as they won them legitimately.
Q : Will you forbid the use of "fake guilds" to thwart other guilds from bidding on territories?
A : if we encounter "fake guilds" or people trying to exploit the system, we will conduct a full investigation and take action accordingly. (Orinj)
Q : Can I use other languages than english on the forums?
A : within the game you are free to speak whatever language you please. latin, pig-latin, hanster-latin, the works - do as you plz.
On the forums, however, English is a must. part of the rules.(Orinj)
Q : What is the cash shop game currency called?
A : ZEN
Q : Where will I be able to buy ZEN from?
A : Our cash shop currency, Zen, will be distributed exclusively through us. We will not be distributing our cash shop currency through any external partners. (Xarfox)
Q : When will I be able to buy ZEN?
A : ZEN will be available when the game goes live through a variety of payment solutions.
Q : I played that other version of PW and I lagged terribly. Will I also lag here?
A : network lag WILL BE REDUCED (to folks that are in the americas and close by) because of geography and network piping. plus we have a much much better network backbone than [the other version you played]. (Orinj)

(Orinj)* gms cannot play during the work day or xarfox and i will fire them
* gms cannot play favorites or xarfox and i will fire them
* gms cannot do favors (give loots/armor/money, rig TW, etc.) without going through an extensive process where each and every action they take is monitored and has to be approved by a manager. if deemed that their actions have interrupted the service and/or the quality of, disciplinary action (also legal action) can and will be used against them
* gms cannot do favors for people. our advanced log system can detect any action taken by any gm. once detected, if deemed that they have interrupted the service and the quality of, disciplinary action (also legal action) can and will be used against them
* gms must service the community/user base while at work or xarfox and i will fire them
* gms must be unbiased and treat the community/user base fairly or xarfox and i will fire them
* gms must use their non-gm characters when playing from home. if they do otherwise, we will know and disciplinary legal blah blah blah u get the point.
* gms while using their normal characters from home are still representatives of PWE.
the individuals that we've hired are also individuals of the highest caliber. no shenanigans will take place nor will it be tolerated.
Q : What types of server will there be?

* questions
* suggestions
* bugs
* hacker reports
* general problems
in-game ticketing system
you utilize the in-game ticketing system to submit the following:
* bot reports
* **** reports
* report gold farmers
* problems with your character
* problems within the game
sometimes these two system work together, sometimes they work separately.

Q : Will I be able to transfert item/money/characters/anything from another version of the game I played before?
A : No, since those versions are run by another company, no tranfert is possible.
Q : Will the character limit in in-game char names increased? 9 characters seem a bit too few for me...
A : increased. at least from what i've verified. Definitely more than 9.(Orinj)
Q : Where can I download the client?
A : The client is available now : http://www.perfectworld.com/download
Q : which kind of download methods is available?
A : Currently, you can use Direct Download or BitTorrent. If you are using BT, please seed the file as much as you can, thank you.
Q : Does the game works with Vista?
A: i've had no issues playing on either vista or xp. (Orinj)

Q : Will there be changes in XP or drops rates for open beta?
A : In order for our beta to be an effective test, we need the test environment to be as similar to the live environment as possible. Tweaking EXP or drop rate values during beta would taint our results and skew the data we'll be collecting. (Xarfox)
Q : Is account sharing allowed?
A : account sharing is a violation of the TOS. prepare to have your account privileges revoked if you get caught. (Orinj)
Q : Will there be changes/ameliorations to the forums?
A: we're still tweaking the forums - this is a beta release of the forums more-or-less (Orinj)
Q : Can I edit some files in my client to have a char looks really thin or really fat? I saw it on another server I played on.
A : we don't want that. so no lollipop characters or otherwise in the game plz (Orinj)
A : Modifying your client side files in any way will result in an administrative action on your account. (Xarfox)
Q : What will the NPC names be like?
A : for the most part, we're going to sticking with the Pinyin (romanized Chinese) versions of the name. So yer not going to find "NPC Fred" giving you a lecture on ancient Chinese-related lore and whatnot. seemed somewhat out of place. (Orinj)
Q : What differenciate this version from that other engrish version I played before?
A : Proper english, proper localization (more than just text, but i can't go into it now), better ping, and last but not least - way better quality service. (Orinj)
Q : I want to make a fansite about PWI! Can you help me?
A : at some point in time after we commercially launch, we'll have a fansite kit full content art you can use for your site. can't give ya'll a definitive date, but we're working on it (Orinj)
Q : How much up-to-date will this version be compared to others English version in other countries?
A : We are the direct subsidiary of Beijing Perfect World. If anyone is going to have the most up to date English version, it would make sense that it's Perfect World Entertainment. (Xarfox)

Q : Will the events timing be appropriate for both Europeans and Americans players?
A : We will definitely be paying attention to Territory War times as well as doing our best to optimize those times to best suit the largest possible number of our users (Xarfox)
Q : Will the cash shop items be affordable?
A : We will do our best to make sure that our cash shop items are reasonably priced for the American market.(Xarfox)
Q : Will our chars be deleted at the end of open beta?
A : No, your open beta chars will be your definitive ones (unless you delete them yourself)
Q : Will there be a forum wipe at the end of Beta?
A : No
Q : Why did you changed the class names?
A : I realize that some of you aren't really feeling the new class names. I could go into all the fine details as to why we changed this and why we changed that. However the bottom line is that we really feel that Perfect World International is a fresh version of Perfect World. We wanted to complete that sense by localizing the class names in addition to the game's text. (Xarfox)
Q : Will the housing system be implemented?
A : Unfortunately the housing system is something that was only present in Perfect World I, which was subscription based. When Perfect World converted from subscription to Free to Play, that feature was dropped sadly. Rufus : depends on the game. In the MY-EN version, they opened cash shop in open beta, and there was no wipe.

I am most DEFINITELY looking forward to the PROPER English. Now I have to start over. :C Oh well. I certainly hope it will be less laggy and that there may be cards to buy for the cash shop items. That would be much more helpful than using a credit card for those of us who are too young to have them. I also do SINCERELY hope that the mounts will be less hideous for the werefox, and that the quest directions will be more descriptive so that we can actually FIND where we need to go. I'm looking forward to starting over! ;p0

I'd say it'll be a pity if there will be a character wipe because us beta testers are providing the move valuable help and suggestions and bug reports to make the game complete. It will be nice if we can keep the characters as a courtesy.Millenium, the fallen angel has arrived.

Then that ruins the defenition of Closed Beta, if you dont like it dont play Closed Beta, be happy that the game even lets us participate in Closed Beta -.-

To be more clear. The purchase of Zen will not be available during Closed Beta. This does not mean that the cash shop will be unavailable during beta.

the cash shop will be there for testing, what we dont know is whether the closed beta testers will recieve a set amount of Zen, or whether admins will sell some at the AH, or both...
what we do know is that Zen will not be sold for 'real money', because of the wipe[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
