Dying...

i'm new to this game, i saw it and signed up as fast as i could. but i have been wondering, what happens when you die, either from a PK or a group of monsters?

    when you die, you always have 1% chance to drop a inventory item. Death from monster loses exp, depending on your current cultivation. Death from players results in no exp loss, and maybe a drop of your item, depending on your name status, pink/red, etc. You can prevent this by buying dolls

    Also, the darker your name becomes (as you pk white named players), the greater the chances for you to drop items when you get pked.

    ^ to add to that: if you're red-named, there is also a chance to drop an equipped item.

    Which blows, so if you don't have whatever doll it was called again I think replacement(Confirm?) or w/e don't bother PKing otherwise you'll end up emo and quit. They should make it maximum 10-30 kills before Red Name =(

    I think you just let it sit in your inventory and it should consume one when you die, or you have to use it. Forgot.

    How do you get the dolls?

    If it's cash shop I'm rolling PvE server already.

    i think its cash shop, but i also think ppl will buy it from cash shop and sell in AH for ingame currency...

    as far as exp goes, if you're killed by another player you lose no exp regardless of if you're red or white.
    If you die from a monster you lose about 8% of a level, but you can be rezzed which whill give you some back, depending on the skill of the priest.

    A replacement doll will avoid the xp loss.

    Also there is no corpse recovery or item recovery like WOW or EQ. You either respawn alive in town with all your gear (hopefully), or wait for a rez.

    its not as extreme as 8% i think around 5 at level 1. Each cultivation level you go up the % will decrease

    Right. At level 99, the exp loss is reduced to 0.2%/death. Nobody has info on it, but at 109 I suspect that exp loss is nonexistant.

    Dolls - Prevent you from loosing the item while PvP'ing
