wow is an ok MMO, but concidering you have to play $15 a month to play its really not all the special. if you want to spend money like that then your better off playing Guild wars or just wait tll Guild Wars 2 comes out.

I frown at YOUR opinion. I hate WoW because of all the account selling/trading that goes on, and the fact that it's not hard to reach the max level. I like it to take time to reach the max level, and I also don't want such a big black market that WoW has.

at all about opinion i played wow for a couple of months and got pretty high lvl. But there is just too much hype on the game and i think its a little over rated. The game is ok, but i think they have a long way to go before I can concider it to be a good MMO

WoW is infact a great game. Millions would agree. Can't argue with numbers. Raiding is an interesting concept that appealed to many. Scripted battles are nice (the first time around anyway) because they offer more than just standard, boring, tank and spank action. Aggro management, and for the first time that I've seen (I don't really play that many MMOs) you could actually run out of mana, so you needed to learn how to control your mana.

But the PvP style in that game wasn't my speed, and I normally play MMOs for PK. The concept of factions don't really fly with me/

HAHA OH WOW! WoW has a bad black market? Do I have to dig up screenshots of people selling accounts on worldchat? Or the goldbots spamming 24/7 in ADC west? At least in WoW it's easy to tell Ebay'd chars because they have no ideea how to play their char.
Why is getting to the max level being 'easy' a bad thing? Games with 341231212312 xp level caps only favor skilless grinders; in WoW level 70 doesn't mean anything if you fail at raiding/arenas.

Never said that PW didn't have a black market. I said I didn't want such a huge black market. There are so many websites for selling WoW accounts. There are also websites selling PW accounts, never said there wasn't.

That's because WoW has millions of active users while PW had what, a few tens of thousands? Naturally a vastly higher userbase means increased RMT activity.

How does anything you say relate to the pvp system? It doesn't. Other than the hierogram's of course, but that just makes it more fun. :cool:

They are totally different..If you don't agree just go through the stories.

And if you talk about graphics,ideas you can't say that either. All MMOs out there are similar in many aspects.

We are here to talk about the + and - of PW.

And not to compare between PW and other games.

Yes I agree with you.

I bet if you counted up all the traded accounts on WoW, then counted all the PW accounts for sale and put them into perspective with each other, you would find WoW has more on average.

Fun as long as you can afford keeping up with others as far as real money is concerned. PvP here is only a way of rewarding people who buy cash shop items by letting them kill others. Letting you buy your way out of PvP penalties for sucking and getting killed with a red name is the worst concept in any cash shop ever.

You assume I hate the game and my only purpose on these forums is to flame it. I'd love to see your reaction to some of my posts on the WoW forums which were criticizing the game in a much harsher manner.

But it's gameplay over graphics here.
You can't just situate something over graphics.
Take the NintendoWii for examle, I love it.
Other's dont, they prefer xbox360 and ps3.
People always think looks these days.
I like playing good games not shiny ones.
Like when I go into a resturant, I'd rather have food that doesn't look that good that taste awesome,
rather than great looking food that tasted like ****.

Heiros are not flaw's at all, I actually like the idea of them.

People buying gear is not a flaw, that happens in every game...yes even WoW.

I'm not saying perfect world is a perfect game, but we are here to talk about PW not defend wow.

The official 'purpose' of a cash shop in f2p games is to help players acheive goals faster. Hierograms aren't goals that players can acheive. An xp scroll increases your xp gain; you can still gain the same sum of xp in a longer time without them. But it's an acheivable goal. Yet you can't get hierograms as drops. That makes them unacheivable goals. Thus, players that 'support' the game are rewarded with items that otherwise don't exist in the game. Surely, they can be bought off other people. But, unlike an epic item, they can't be bruteforced by determined players that decide to not use the cash shop. This is severely limiting and makes this game reak of moneymaking schemes.

Now, to discuss their PvP implications. Hierograms' effectiveness is based upon a player's maximum HP pool. It means a Werebeast will benefit from a hierogram much more than a Mage would, up to the point of practical invulnerability. This is a severely imballanced, gamebreaking issue.

I also repeat what I said about replacement dolls letting a player bypass any penalties. Other games featured items that removed part of the penalty. Yet negating it altogether, even if said person has 923423442 kills is, again, severely imballanced. If we get into how you can spawn gear from cash shop mats ad-infinitum, hence also spawning money it gets even worse. Selling things that can't be npc'd to other players is acceptable. Something that spawns effective, ingame gold out of nowhere is terrible and kills the economy.

Here you stated your opinion yet failed to provide any arguments in it's favor. I have played both games and believe WoW is better. I explained why with the failings of the cash shop system in regards to PvP. I haven't even got into how PvE content is repetitive and killing bosses needs utterly no skill (hell, some classes can just AFK during a fight). You said WoW sucks. If you mind explaining why, I'll probably have something to say to you; as it stands now, I kindof don't.
