:confused:Lag can ruin pretty much most games, and from what i've heard is that on all the other versions UNBEARABLE LAG IS THERE!!
So assuming that this is America and Europe it's gonna be pretty bad, am I right?

I only seem to have lag in TW. Other than that, I do fine.

I play mmos on US servers from eastern Europe all the time, with very good pings (0.2 at most). The terrible lag everyone's complaining of on the My-en version is because they are hooked up to a horrible ISP that gimps any external traffic. There should be no problems with these servers though.

There could be alot of lag and then again there might not be but being CB you have got to expect lag at least til everything runs smoothly and when OB comes along there will no doubt be an influx and be lag but when things settle down Im sure there will be hardly any lag ^.^

What makes you think its going to be bad? America and Europe has better isp's on the way than say MY-EN server has...

So if you are american/european, you shouldnt have bad lags.

I didnt suffer from lag at MY-EN servers even that i played from all the way up north Finland.

Its not allways a case of the game client, quite contrary, more often its a case of your own connection and which route it takes to the server.

Lag is the main reason why they're doing an international version of PW. It's to accommodate NA users to help reduce the lag on MY servers. MY only has two servers for the entire English speaking world so there's going to be lag.

The MY version wasn't laggy those people just had either 1. Crappy Connections or 2. Crappy Computer.

My computer is far from top of the line and I never expereinced much lag.

the computer has nothing to do with the lag 99% of the people are experiencing there.
it's their ISP that screws every connection outside MY.
if you didn't have lag then you were one of the lucky ones whose signal got routed over the AIMS lines.
and since one cannot control over which server the signal gets routed, PW-MY does lag.
PW has been endless frustration for me #2

Do you know what you're even talking about? MY-EN has like the WORST internet service provider in the whole world. Malaysia has crappy **** routing almost everywhere but of course not for Malaysia itself. No, I'm not trying to badmouth Malaysia in anyway, that is just a fact.

Thank you! I'm in cali too! Yay me! ;P

(At one point I have to use a proxy to connect to PW-MY when they were going through TMNET, and ping was over 400ms, which was noticeable, but alright for grinding. I would be happy to see latency under 250ms.)

actually, we have a select group of 100 users that were chosen for the pre beta testing.

they'll actually be among you guys during CB. their highest lvl user is 65 i think?

yeah, it's mostly just been me and feeLz, LOL :p

but all jokes aside, we've done some stress testing with our guys here and it seems to stand up pretty good. but we'll have to see when CB launches for some "real" results.

    heheh

you've all been had by a simple misdirect >.>

1st admin post was to state -- no lagg,...until someone called her? on it
    2nd admin post was a "comply" -- lets w8 & c lol

in my former career as a salesman, these tactics were & are still, all too common, but ok, lets play

The lag will be reduced due to server location. Guaranteed. By how much? No idea.

quite a lot, i'd imagine *happy face*

this will be my 3rd mmo, & i'm getting pretty fed up with lagg as playing a major role. So hopefully, with isolated servers via IP bans ( <3 it), there will be little or none at all - OMG i can hardly imagine playing that way.

in one of the mmo's i simply didn't make any item mall purchases cause i knew it would be a waste when it wouldn't work properly cause of it.

so perhaps in this one i can resume those "advantages", probably still just w8 for OB to do that though, cause i want to learn gameplay 1st & what best to spend RL $$ on.

    network lag:
WILL BE REDUCED (to folks that are in the americas and close by) because of geography and network piping. plus we have a much much better network backbone than cubscoutnet.

lag brought upon by too many people, objects, etc.:
this will depend on several things.
    * your pc's strength
    * your game settings

-- but in the end --

    lag will be reduced

    hope that clears things up?

    thanks
