GM/MOD Favoritism & Corruption

Will this be an issue on PW-International? After having gone through the threads on this forum it would appear that atleast one of the forum posters here is acquainted with one or more of the PW Entertainment staff. IDK, but I always thought it was proper gaming etiquette to not reveal that a player personally knows an employee of the company hosting a game and vice versa. Anyways, on the MY-EN version there were several cases of GM corruption/favoritism and I'm worried that something like that could happen here also.

    What's the point of asking this on the official forums lol? Either way they'll say no. I say wait until the servers get back up and we'll find out, yeah? o:

    It seems that you're talking about me. No worries, they're not corrupted here - also, the person I know isn't a gm nor a mod. ;)

    Hm. Well, seeing as how I doubt an admin or mod will actually say that the GMs will be corrupted, all I can say is that we shall hope for the best in people. The leadership here seems much more capable than the Malaysian people... so I'm pretty sure the GMs will be fine.

    that's not how we do things around here.

    we're good folk made of sugar, spice, everything nice, and chemical x.... wait a minute....

    no, no - we're good folks though. and honesty, we're people (company) of integrity.

    there isn't going to be any favoritism whatsoever.

    a careful checks and balance system exists internally to prevent such things like that.

    i would hate to be a part of a forum group that promotes that.

    we iz all equillz

    even steven

    equal pasqual

    down the middle in the griddle

    and all that jazz.

    Some how I dont think there will be any corruption here like in MY-EN not that I noticed much lol...to busy trying to lvl my lil butt...but anyhow this server is completely different to MY - EN so dont ya think that the GMs etc will be different also...sure things are going to bumpy to start off with maybe but you cant expect everything to be spot on for the first day ^.^ an old quote comes to mind "Rome wasnt built in a day" or is that a song lol... come on give the guys n gals here some credit and not compare to MY - EN if ya notice its International "but based in the USA - good ole' cali to be exact" so that has to account for something :D

    I not trying to insinuate that the staff here are like that, but there is always the possibility that something like this could happen. I'm sure that most if not all of the corrupt MMORPGs out there did not start out that way nor did they have the intention to, but things turned out as they did. Hopefully, that won't be the case here.

    It counts for something and to be honest if we start comparing this server with any other server then we shouldn't be here and should be going to the forums of those servers and judging and nitpicking. New server new rules new everything. Give this server a chance and the people running it.

    Now on multiple occasions we've stated on the boards that we are obsessed with providing quality Customer Service. Of course, in tandem with that self-induced necessity, our GMs will be adhering to the strictest of guidelines.

    All of our Game Masters will be employees of Perfect World Entertainment, official representatives of the company. As representatives of our company, you can expect the highest level of professionalism from them.

    Couldnt agree with ya more suga I know that one from experience look at USKO a great server under US rulez then Turks take over and it goes to ****...I had a tankin mage yep my mage could tank harpies and still kick azz but mind you I had buffs and damn good healer keepin my lil health bar running lol but Turks took over the server and the GMs ended up being all TURK and thats when the server went to shiet and now look my once tankin mage cant even tank a damn low lvl mob without getting whomped and thats with a buff scroll and you go to talk to a GM about it and you get some damn lingo that you cant understand and well ya just give up and I know also just reading the different posts that this server aint gonna be taken over by power hungry GMs that only look out for "their" buddies only ^.^

    I can understand how you feel because I have also experienced it first hand. Not only is it unfair but it ruins the fun of the game. The staff here at PW are all gamers and as such we understand your concerns but let me assure you once again that we are not in the business of abusing players or our authority.

    Thanks for the reassurance hottie ;) definitely makes one feel more at home knowin that one of the PW staff have been through the same thing and your right there too hun that not only is it unfair but it ruins the fun of the game ^.^ keep up the good work suga ;)

    Up till now the Staff seems to do a quite good job and I don't see anything that indicates that this would change. It's nice to see that the GMs don't take theirselves to serious while as well providing information, meaning, "doing their job". That's more or less the perfect balance. Also, it's good to see that you guys are employees and not doing this for fun or free. In european Ragnarok Online GMs were casual players doing the job because they felt like it, it turns out that this model totally fails. There you can ask 4 different GMs and everyone will give you a different answer to your question.
    Also, regarding Favoritism: In the end even GMs are humans and ofc they have people they like more and don't like that much. That will always have an influence, just because you guys are humans too. Though, it shouldn't have the biggest influence on you, I hope to see that. But - as said - up till now I don't even see any problem orso. Keep it going. =)
