For me, my friend who works for Perfect World Entertainment told me about it.

Ya they are just jealous cuz all of their players are coming over here...i dont play them there game will suck compared to this one!!!!! If you wonder how i know it is because the servers are closer and there wont be a 5 sec lag everytime you click a skill, that alone makes this better.

Yeah. The company ( and probably the servers too ) are located in California so players from the US shouldn't have any lag in game. I'm not sure about people from other countries, though.

Whatever ISP they're going to be using can't possibly be any worse than the Malaysian one...

Exactly!! The Malaysian servers are of terrible quality. Meaning anyone outside of Malaysia gets lag...

But obviously US servers will be of good quality and the connections between the US and Europe are very good so I am confident us Europeans won't get anywhere near as much lag. (Specially because the actual distance is about the same...)

Anyways I head it like others, from the many deleted topics in the MY-EN forum!

I'm really looking forward to trying it out though :D

    +1
My signal gets routed over USA to Malaysia, so if the server is in USA then it definitely going to be better :D

The North American internet infrastructure is quite superior to the Malaysian one, so for most players, latency should be better here than it was there.

As for where I come from, like many others here, I played on the malaysian engrish servers, and found out about PW-INT in a message on their forums (before it was deleted).
Frankieraye said : "we can promise that we will work to improve all facets of community, engineering, and customer service to ensure that something like this doesn't happen again."

(We are still waiting to see any improvements or changes beign implemented. More empty promises from PWI?)

I have been playing the Malaysian version for some time, and was shocked to see Perfect World mentioned on...oh, I can't remember. It was Joystiq or Kotaku or something like that. And it was about this, and I said "Well, I'm definitely going to give this a shot!"

heard about it while looking for a new mmorpg to play over at onrpg.com, after not being able to connect to my-en pw for over 2 months (!!), nor succeeding in finding a good proxy to try to. got mixed feelings about starting fresh in this version (leaving my beloved wr behind), but this time around i suppose it'll be a more balanced play (no more 3-4 guild domination on both delphi and oracle) and more fun, as many people will be joining here after having experience with any of the other versions, hence knowing what they're doing. anyhow, i'm looking forward to it!

I used to play the Malaysian-english version, quit because of crippling lag. Went back to browse the forums on a whim, saw a thread about this version and here I am. Hopefully this'll have better management than the horrible joke the My-en version was; well the good english they used on this site alone gives me some hope.
