Sudden server shutdown/unexpected maintenance 9-1-2021

Any details whether this will just be a restart or an unannounce extra standard maintenance?

    Patch 1220 is currently being applied no ETA on server restart
    Hope it fixes this "not able to switch characters without complete relog to game"

    I ended up being asleep during the whole thing...oops. I got a message from staff saying that they were working on an issue with the Tough Tauren mount egg in the Boutique. From what I've heard, it's been removed now. That seems to be what the emergency maint was for.

    (For those who aren't aware, the Tough Tauren can only be used in the codex, but it is not yet available in the codex so it was practically useless)
