Old player coming back

I am curious if it is worth playing an old character that is about 7-10 years old with all R9 2 ND cast +11/12wep that's level 105 in the preset time ? Or is it worth restarting with a new character? I'm not sure if Thier is new gear higher levels or better skills that would all be easier to get if I started fresh or continue my old character and grind it out?

Feel free to give me any info on the new things as I wont be playing for at least a few more weeks while I assemble my new PC an download pwi again and I hope to see some old friends #ThaClicK
