Why is it still a thing for archers to have a deduction in damage based on range?

It makes very little sense for archers in 2019 for to have this reduction in damage, def with the like of storms and duskblades running around where they get a reduction from range anyways.

Not to even mention the anti crit and anti range passives floating around.

suggestion? well you could get rid of the reduction in damage on an archer based on range.

It's a shame that there are a large quantity of people in game who played archers for years spending a large quantity of money in game for the company to play it out in a way where they force us to roll new toons, starting all over.... oh well.

    why?archers like few more classes is nerfed over years,and NOOOW with one update pwi will fix everything and balance classes?LOL thats wont happen, almost all classes is rip,cuz pwi favorize only sins and dbs...no one cares anymore,kinda all pvp activity is already dead ,atleast on Et server...PK doesnt exist over years,tw is dead,tnf,nw too...maybe im wrong ,but kinda pwi favorize 1-2 class,1 guild...meh lets wait few more years till that famous update be translated and implemented? why pwi leaved to one guild take all event rewards?(tw,primal boss with 300m drop,tbf helm...) kinda too hard to limit rewards one per month for same guild,or...pwi doesnt care too anymore? GJ pwi ,realy,realy gj

    One guild stomping your server isnt pwi fault tht is a player base issue they wont distribute power instead everyone stacks into one guild and rides the band wagon in pvp /money making events it happens on every server now there is nothing pwi can do to stop tht other than removing events like tht entirely =x

    Well I think resetting the TW map will help with that. Having regular resets would also help.

    Yeah. PWI archer should change like -->PWM archer i had watching PWM on youtube and seen archer can run and hit like SB

    As an archer I don't get invites in squads but still have fun doing quests. Made a new archer last week just to keep having fun. The deduction is something we will be used to have....

    Well china pw think archer overpower still but can't blame them since china don't have ton of r9 user like us.Maybe will change when pw cn have g17 gear since most are r8rrr or s1 g17 gear for now

    Another thread in which ppl think archer are weak..welp, for pve..there are better suited DDs. Even if you have a zerk weapon, at which point you could easily out-DD most other classes, its not viable for longer fights, cause the perma zerk will drain your HP and either destroy your charm or get you killed.

    And in PvP, esp when the next update hits, archer are going to be stronger than ever and if you play it smart, might even be able to beat the nerfed Duskblades in a 1v1 on equal gears consitantly, same for sins, again, if you play it smart. There are means an archer can kill most classes, means by which an archer can be very, very good in mass pvp as well. Archer is by no means a weak class, it is an underrated class that 99% of ppl simply cannot handle, thats it.
