New Venomancer: How much is a Herc on Tideswell?

Hello,

I just started and settled on a Venomancer. I was reading guides and what not and for PVE they mention Baby Hercules pet, but also say that it is hard to get. It is vaguely mentioned it can be bought, but I never saw prices. Does anyone know how much it is on the Tideswell server? At level 26 I do plan on grabbing a Glacial Walker pet to level with, too.

    I'm not from Tideswell to give you a price, but legendary pets on sale are around 115 gold or so in the Boutique. If you're planning to buy it with coins, you'll probably need over 500-600mil depending on your server's gold prices. Right now it's a particularly bad time to be buying gold with coins due to Fortune Key sales which causes a big demand for gold, consequently making gold prices high. You could try buying gold through the Auction House for a price of 4mil per 1 gold, but you won't be very successful since most people sell outside the Auction House for 5mil or higher.

    Honestly, buying a Baby Hercules pet right now is not really worth the coins/money. You can build a good Glacial Walker for less and it will be able to do most of the things the Baby Hercules can do, except that it won't be as good at keeping aggro but that can be fixed by holding back your damage a little (after evolution, the Glacial Walker will gain access to some aggro skills). The other drawback is that the Baby Hercules can fly and swim after level 100, but there really aren't that many bosses underwater or in the air that other free water/air pets can't handle.

    Ms.Zoologist at southeast Archosaur sells "legendary" pet skills for 1.2mil each so you can buy all the skills the Baby Hercules has. The Glacial Walker has lower base stats but the difference isn't big enough to be worth paying an extra 500mil for the Hercules. Also, although it hasn't been officially confirmed, the upcoming expansion, which is right around the corner, will reduce the Faction Base pet skills to 2mil per skill and those skills are a better version of the "legendary" pet skills the Ms.Zoologist sells.

    In my opinion, the only Boutique pets that are worth buying right now are either the damage dealers Harpy or Battlebot and/or the PvP pet Monkey King if you plan to do PvP in the future. Even then I feel like gold prices and the current state of the game have made Boutique pets cost too much for too little in return for PvE.

    Get the Herc. I have it just love it. My wife has one too. But dont buy from greedy players buy from PWI. Its well worth it you will not be disappointed by it. Its the best use of my cash.

    Follow up question, when I get to lvl 100 and get my Glacial Walker to 100 how would I obtain the Feral Soul Star to evolve it?

    You can get Feral Soul Stars from the Lycaeum of Cultivation, which is a daily instance for Venomancers. You can also use the Feral Soul Stars to level up your Glacial Walker if it has not reached 100 by the time you get to level 100.
