Absence notes not working properly

I decided to get an Absence note to fill in the only missed day I had this month, however when I clicked the Fill Check button in the calender, nothing happened. The button gets pushed and pops back up but there's no message that pops up, the missed day stays unfilled, and the item stays in my bag. If I put the absence note into the bank and try it, then I get a popup message saying no absence note available. If I put it back in my bag then once again, I get no message or anything. Also, it does say that I have 1 day available to be filled in, and I hadn't missed checking in any other days so I know that shouldn't be causing an issue. Weird thing is, I found a post from 2014 and tried one suggestion in it about trying the button before checking in for the day, so I waited till midnight and before checking in for Friday, I tried to fill the check and it worked. It's also possible that it's tied to the roll call countdown, since when I tried it initially, the countdown was going and when I tried it again, it had finished but I hadn't collected the rewards from it yet. So incase anyone else has this issue, seems the absence note only works either if you haven't checked in for the day, or you don't currently have a roll call timer going.
