Arena Matchmaking Question

in Arigora Colosseum
How exactly does the matchmaking work? Because my squad and another squad from our faction were both queuing at the same time. The squads are about 20 points apart so we can match, yet we both sat there for ~30 minutes and just kept timing out. Why would we not get matched and instead keep getting no fights?

    You probably faced their squad recently. You can only rematch a squad after facing 4 other squads, and the same goes for the other squad. This makes it so you need at least 6 squads doing match making to get continuous matches.

    We hadn't faced them ever before so that couldn't be it we thought of that
