Easter Egg Design Contest 2k17
Start : April 17th @ 10:00 AM PST

Ends : May 1st @ 10:00 AM PST


This contest is pretty simple – take the egg template from the Newspost HERE :


And color/decorate it however you like so long as it’s PWI themed! You can throw in characters, patterns etc. There will be three separate categories – Hand Drawn, Digital and Photo Realistic (Using In-Game Graphics/Screenshots to for collages).

There will be three winners per category for a total of nine possible winners!


Prizes

1st Place –

Giant Bunny Pet

x10 Ancient Gifts



And your choice of (1) of the following :

Complete Morai Skills for a character of your choice (does NOT have to be on the same account as the winning character!)

OR

x 1 Dragon Orb Ocean (sent only to the winning character)



2nd Place-

Two Morai Skill for a character of your choice (does NOT have to be on the same account as the winning character!)

Rules:
  • Designs must use the egg template provided in this post. The size and shape of the egg cannot be modified.
  • Designs must be submitted to the forums under the Easter Egg Design Contest 2k17 thread. With your submission list your in-game name, your server and which category you’ll be submitting to. Please submit by May 1st, 2017 at 10 AM PST!
  • Designs must be PWI themed!
  • Designs cannot use any copyrighted material outside of what can be found in Perfect World International! If doing the digital category, you may use royalty free fonts or images, but please mention this when submitting!



The Judging Criteria is as follows:

Composition – Designs are made thoughtfully with regards to negative space. The design as a whole is cohesive.
Originality and Creativity – Designs are compelling, eye catching or well planned out. The design does not copy off of other older entries.
Rendering – Designs look “complete”, attention to line weight is observed.

    I have no talent for photo-editing, but I heard that seggs sells. Fair warning, this might be considered NSFW! But since its teggnically art, Im hoping it'll be allowed.

    Sorry re-read rule again and my submission more falls under Photo Realistc submission.

    Edited because I started over again on a new, Blademaster back to now, Etherblade. Restos is set. So if it possible and I happen to hopefully place, I would like it on this character instead.

    PS: I noticed my older post appears again. So it must've been some weird glitch on my end. If we are only allowed to submit once, please disregard this post and count my later one.

    Char: Batbuck, Server:Etherblade, Category- Photo Realistic. Thanks you others who post here, so I can follow your example for submission rules.

    First off let me share what I was going to do for the creativity part. It was going to be a video with the dimensions and shape of that egg, as an overlay. But due to my lack of experience with newer video editors I couldn't complete my simple idea. I started it. Because the rules said it has to have the same size but never said it had to remain stagnate. :) Like Sokka's Swordmaster, Piandao, from Avatar: The Last Airbender, said about him, "It wasn't your skill with a sword that amazed me, but your creativity." My sister helped me remember the last word.

    Also i want some clarifications: "Photo realistic" means you should use a non edited screenshot from the game right ? I mean any type of picture that's not found normally in PWI means it's been edited so it falls under "Digital" right ?

    ( This egg is hand drawn but I used photoshop to color it out and also to add the PWI logo and some shading. That's why it is in the Digital category because it was 90% Digital.)

    Theme Explanation : Everytime I get in game I always click on "Check In" first and this cute Tiger Emoji gladly stamps my PWI Calendar with a smiley face. Not just me but I am pretty sure everyone saw this tiger emoji everywhere in game, on chat or as a pet. So to celebrate PWI Easter, I decided to use a familiar face on my PWI Easter Egg to remind us of the game and the good times we spent playing and chatting with each other. Belated Happy Easter Everyone <3
