Stuck in loading screen after choosing character

Ok, with the new update I had to sit down and wait until it all got ready to go, battling with some disconnects and such. I can log in, I can choose my character, but when I try to hop in game, the bar at the bottom of the screen loads up, and then nothing. No program error, no window locked. It doesn't show me the black screen with the window in the middle giving me the timeout counter (?) while I enter. Nothing at all. Just a quaint picture used for the loading screen.

Any ideas? I've tried verifying, redownloading the client from Steam, updating again, and verifying again.

It sounds like your toon is stuck in a bugged location. Used to happen a lot.

After choosing your character, while it's got the loading bar going across, hold down the W key. You may need to do this a few times to get your toon out of the bugged spot.

I tried on a few chars, didn't work. i'm afraid that's not the issue.

Yes, I'm afraid this is happening with all chars. Sorry for the late reply, for some reason it won't notify me there are new replies.

OK, I'll take one from SylenThunders notes on this...

First make sure the client folders are fully excluded from your anti-virus and anti-malware software.
Then run verify three times back to back.

If it's still happening after that, I'd open a support ticket to have them look at your account.
