Nv3 with potential

So i was looking around on my server i notice its always the same folks going at each other whether they trash talking in wc or pking, these people are most r999 OP folks, but then there a few nv3 people who i see who seems to be on par with few r999, maybe its better stats or skills, maybe its just luck; but im sure you've seen these people. So this thread hope it gets responded too is about the pure nv3 people(no r9 ring) who manages to still do some dmg when they need to or can take down a few r999 people. post some names if you can. Personally i know from Twighlight Temple we have people like Daruviel, shadeslayer used to rock when he was active, kyoshirou. Sometimes i wonder what they could do as r999.

Sure, If the person in NV3 has their boundaries caught up, decent starchart, and decent card set, I'm sure a levelled meridian and caught up on titles could help too. There are so many things to consider other then just the armor, weapon, assecories etc. themselves.
Also ofc a bit of knowledge and reaction time can go a long way :)

The biggest advantage r9 has over t3 is simply the fact you don't JOSD +12 t3. occasionally someone will +10 vit shard it, but its rare anyone even goes that high. usually working n farming r9 after they hit +5ish. I'm not saying r9 is not more powerful. just saying that gap grows exponentially just based on the refines and shards.

Then ofc you have cards, nuemas, meridians, titles boundaries, etc to think about, a t3 player can definitely pose a threat as long as they are caught up. There are several on Tideswell as well that can keep on par with everyone.

I have only seen one person in Nv3 gear that actually was dangerous to r9 people damage wise, but he also had NW stuff, +12 most if not everything, and i think deity. The weapon was warsoul. I forgot his name but he doesnt play pvp actively anymore.

I can however mention multiple people that plays support classes that is extremely good and does a difference in mass pvp.

There use to be a pair of nv3 venos that could cause some threat (cause 0proc is so damn OP) but they are r9 now.

Nv3 isnt bad, its just that nv3 people do not refine their gear high enough, they usually lack nuema, card sets and levels, etc. I often see them behind on sky levels too. When you arent up to date on this, youll be destroyed by a fully up to date r9 person.

It is pretty much what the others said. It is not really about gear anymore, it is the stats that a set of other things + your gear give you as whole.
If you see a Nv3 player taking down a r9 one, it is most likely that both players are even on spirit and all the other stats that cards, nuema, meridian, titles, etc give. It even could be that the r9 person is way behind on those stats.

Also and even if some people disagree. Skill is not really a factor if the difference in stats is abysmal. Sure someone who is way behind would be able to annoy an OP person if it manage to hit him, but when people are being one shoted even before landing a hit. What can they do about it?

R9 is completely worthless in itself, however, combined with everything else that people already mentioned (cards, nuemas, boundary lvl, meridian, titles, etc) it gives you the advantage.

The reason I say r9 itself is worthless nowadays is because a friend of mine had returned to the game few months ago, he had r9rr+12 weap, +10 armor, but no cards and stuff because he quit before they came out, I 1shot him with my T3+7 psy xD He wasn't even doing decent damage to me either when we did a dmg test.

Another example, and I hope this doesn't break the rules, but it's a BM in Tideswell called _Muffy with T3, we dueled a few times, my sin is r9rr+11 full, got candleflame set, all nuemas, etc, and still, she was doing stupid damage to me, around 4-5k in some cases because she's completely caught up with things.

TL,DR: Depends on everything else, r9 gives you a small advantage nowadays.

I have seen too many r9s that stink because they spend all this money getting OP gears and shards but they don't know how to play their class. I have a 105/105/105 barb g16+10 with vit stones, at this time I am farming my r9 because I need more defense for TW. I know a r999+10 barb with full vit stones that is also 105/105/105, who everytime someone from my faction is in a DFSP, with him tanking he most of the time dies on the toad. I rarely die on the toad. I agree that cards, meridian and other stuff can help, but esp with barbs skill usage is key. That is one of the big issues with failed barbs, they do not understand their skills and rely too much on their gears. Also when they lose aggro, they give up.

R9 was a thing back in the days when we had no cards / spirit / new sky levels. Now if you're maxed with the others, you are a threat even with nv3. Provided you have a decent wep ofc.
