Why do they kill Venos Rare pets?

So other day i'm flying threw Mori i see Wc say there someone killing rare pet spawn they put the cords and sure enough there was a person from Karma an archer killing everything auto cultivating and worst off they weren't even picking up the drops or the coin?
The spawn point for this rare is i think maybe two times a week? Isn't that against pwi rules? look like some very upset venos to.
It wouldn't be such a big deal if they spwan this rare more often or made it so final killing hit would say resist can only be tamed.
it was on etherblade server.
Really strange most people in that faction are awesome i never seen any one in that faction ever blatantly do something like this before.

It's simple - no one cares about pets anymore, even the venos. If they want a pet, they buy a legendary pet. That Karma archer not only didn't know there was a rare pet spawn there, I'm betting if they did they wouldn't care. Venos are for purge and amp, and are not to be seen after.0
-
You dont pick up the coin when botting if you are doing it for the xp, hurts pretty hard on your xp/hour if you do. As for botting on rare veno pet spawn, they most likely did not know bout it and while it sucks for venos who want the pet there is nothing you can do bout it but ask them to move politely. Going to WC to QQ is like making sure ppl are not gonna respect your wishes.0
-
These karma archers have been there for years, they dont care, and simply want the exp cuz its a nice spot. As simple as that0

Honestly, I don't think that the morai spot where that rare dino spawns is good for autoculti, especially considering that there are 2 bosses with a few millions of hp there. And while those two would not be able kill an end game archer, even on autoculti. They would surely do their boting less ''productive'' if the bot is bad positioned. Also elevation and terrain make it easy to get stuck there even if char is an archer/caster.
The only possibilities that come to my mind are:
- Archer was a nab and he didn't knew/care about the rare pet and better autoculti spots.
- Person was a troll and was well... trolling for some reason.
- Person maybe was camping Jintao (or whatever his name is) and decided to bot while doing it.
Still I think there are way better places for autoculti than that place. In fact, I did a lot of autoculti not so long ago on momaganon (demon's map) and was getting better exp without disturbing anyone and without being disturbed by others.
On a side note: While I do understand that what said archer did is wrong, and I am not a karma fan myself, the actions of a single individual does not reflect the faction.
So the faction in which player is a member is irrelevant to the problem. Also OP should understand that most of the TW faction look more at the person's gear than anything else.
In fact if you play on Etherblade server. you should know that all the strong factions at some points had or still have on their ranks: Scammers, Account thieves, sexual predators (or at least people Obsessed with sex), extremely rude people, guys who use illegal bots, etc, etc, etc...
So to put it simple: gear>everything else...0 -
i went to check if the dino pet was there and i said saw said archer...do these ppl really have nothing else to do?

I have actually been on a server and saw someone waiting for the dino pet to spawn and as soon as it spawned they killed it, so it's not an accident that people are killing those, it's because it's one of the best if not the best pet in the game for vs and everything else. It's the best one you can get without spending money too.0

Lol was they botting in pk mode? Cause I know a few ways to insure they will not bot there again.....Vae Victis.0

I don't think you or Karma get to make that decision for the veno that wants that pet.0 -
Its an unfortunate thing but its been happening for years. I see this subject on the forums again and again. Thing is, sadly, (and i say this having a veno who still doesn't have morai pet despite camping) players cant be pinolized for killing mobs. Its not against the rules. Maybe try sending the person a mail and ask nicely if they mind moving a few days while you camp for the pet. Some players dont know or think about veno pets. And some do and are just jerks, but you never know till you ask.

I am really starting to think that this is one of those [insert faction here] hate threads more than a "not kill veno rares one".
I do agree with you that it is the player decision. However what shade13 say is correct. In fact if you read the person post that she is replying, the person said "vs" What makes me think of pvp, if that person really think that any veno pet will be factor on pvp, specially on damage, well they clearly have no clue about pvp.0 -

Oh well. And I know how to solve this problem for some time, if the bot is in PvE mode on that spot

What I'm trying to say is you don't lose much.
I'd give you mine for free if I could lol I still miss that money I used to hatch it (how much was it? 3mil?) considering I npc'd it eventually, because it uselessly occupied a spot in cage 0 -
There is actually a legit way in which this problem could be solved but I doubt they ever do it for a veno rare. The devs could just nerf the exp on all the mobs on that area, same solution could be applied to base quest mobs.
Since the devs on China love to nerf everything. Why not just make those particular mobs to only give 1 exp. Of course there would be times when someone still kills the litle critter just to annoy someone or by ignorance, but at least you would not see annoying bots where they should not be.
When my main was not 105 I used to autoculti on heaven or hell maps, as someone else said, in order to don't bother anyone since that area is almost always deserted.
But most of people on this game don't really care about others so they will just do it in the place that suits them best, this regardless if there is a rare mob or if is the place of a daily quest.
So as I say before the only logical fix is to make the place in which they bot less convinient to the bot by nerfing the mob that the bot use for the exp. PW devs already did this with drops value. However that was only due something that does damage to the in-game economy of their version and to the company's wallet of course.0 -

Not everyone plays for PvP. I realize it's difficult for people who *only* play for PvP, but that's not always the case. I don't give a rat's about any of the factions - I'm one who believes a factions' reputation rests on the shoulders of the worst player they have. If you allow your name over that person's head, you're partly responsible. Perhaps if that faction doesn't like being considered thoughtless ****, they'll tell their people to quit that, or kick them. If they don't care, then we all learn something about that faction.

That player might not have the pets you do. That player might like the appearance of that pet more than another. Either way, it's their game to play to and I hope they play with whatever pet they wish - regardless of your recommendations.0 -
Factions wanting monopolies on things has been around since, well, since I can remember. I would advise against fanning flames against any particular one faction, as that can easily and quickly derail the entire central issue. I'd say reach out to the player and see if they can allow you to grab a shot at getting the spawn.
Sometimes, people just feel empowered to troll even if you ask them nicely. Other times they're controlling it for one reason or another (for friends, for their alts). I personally like pets for cosmetics on my Veno not just for power and so at some point in the future, I'd love to own one. Would I still get legendary pets? Of course. But there are just some pets I'll always like due to looks or for nostalgia reasons. This topic has been brought up a few times already, though, so I'll probably continue monitoring it for now.0 -

I do get what you are saying and I can even agree with you a bit but there is one problem: Most of them don't care about that.
As I said on my very first post on this thread, on the last paragraph:most of the TW faction look more at the person's gear than anything else.
In fact if you play on Etherblade server. you should know that all the strong factions at some points had or still have on their ranks: Scammers, Account thieves, sexual predators (or at least people Obsessed with sex), extremely rude people, guys who use illegal bots, etc, etc, etc...
So to put it simple: gear>everything else...
I can even give you an example without naming anyone due forum rules.
Years ago there was this super ultra know scammer on the old Archosaur server, he scammed dozens of people on a sin alt he has(yeah... has not had since the guy still plays and never got banned..). Among some of the people he scammed there were even a few friends of mine.
At some point he got confronted on WC by some his victims and even some of the officers and leads of different factions including myself, making me waste a lot of teles on him, like a few hundred....
Guess what happened?
Most of the core members of his faction, one of the top TW factions at the time, shielded the guy and even made fun of his victims calling them: ''Stupid for being scammed'' or even making sexual jokes about the issue (yeah i know lots of perverts on this game sadly..)
A lot of those people still play the game, the guy never got banned most likely due to him turning in to a cash shop player (i could be wrong on this last statement)
Funny thing is that after merge, for some reason unknown to me he part ways with the people that defended him at that time and joined what you can call their rival faction. yeah the other faction accepted him knowing who he was...
The point is that none of those people cared at the moment for all the persons who said guy scammed, some of them even quit thanks to him.
I know that what I am saying may sound even a bit sort of a contradiction but sadly is true, the values on most of the top TW factions are really different compared to smaller ones, of course there could be exceptions now and then, but most of the time the leads of said factions would not give a flying rat about their members attitude and reputation, even worse sometimes they may even see it as something cool being a jerk since it gives them ''badass'' reputation..
I know that I may sound really negative on this but sadly a large part of the gamer community on my server is toxic, I am aware that lot of those people have always been like that, but now is perceived more easily, mostly due the decrease on the playerbase I guess...0 -

You are being ridiculous. If and when somebody needs something in the area somebody is botting on, like the rare dino pet, ask politely for them to move. If you offer them similar xp spot I am certain most ppl will move, most ppl are unaware of how good hell/heaven are for botting, specially couple of locations in those. Starting this thread is far more likely to annoy the person in question enough to not move than make them move.0 -

Agree that appearance can be a reason, but appearance is just appearance ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
My recommendation is to play with what you have and enjoy, since it's not worse quality wise. But if you want to suffer and make a tragedy of the things which aren't worth it, yeah, don't follow it.0 -
They should just put it in the event gold shop for cheap actualy it be nice if they just put some of those cn pets like the snow leopard etc that we don't have tameable in our version but they do exist for example the mother of the pack that has been given away in our game yet years back they said our version didn't have yet this year i have one?
You know what i'm put in the suggestion thread because i notice pwi does listen to its fans and even if they don't have the power to change certain things in the game i notice they have flexibility to there version of cash shop and some event gold shop maybe some one here can pass the word to put those cn non legendary pets battle pets like the dyno in the event gold shop0 -
@laiwaisan I don't know if CN will just allow for pets to be randomly shoved into the event shop. Dino is one of the few bound pets, which is nice for the purposes of Event Shop items being non tradeable, but it is a rare spawn.
I was super confused first as to the Snow Leopard pet you were talking about so I poked around on the database. It's this guy http://www.pwdatabase.com/pwi/mob/7327 and I will admit he's quite pretty when I spawned him on test! We have a non tamable one in the game, but it's for a quest mob and there doesn't appear to be a location for this tamable one. I assume this and the Mother of the Pack are supposed to be event type spawns?
Because of certain...shall we say, restrictions, I have to find a way around these mobs not being available in game and dropping their eggs instead.Post edited by kalystconquerer#0876 on0 -
well i think the dyno bound thing in event shop be awesome if they go for that i mean they might seeing that its so hard to get i been trying for i think a year now and as for the other two would it be possible to put a code out call it veno love code lol.
i'm not 100% but isn't anything that has an id code like the eggs able to be put in a code ?
yeah that Snow Leopard pet is awesome i think the mother of the pack was GM event the other one might of been a mob that was nerfed and never fix because the way i knew about the Snow Leopard pet was it was a tameable in some version of pw it might of been like how that one npc that is in starter area glitches and is missing time from time nostra something?
that's just speculation.
id ask you to send me a Snow Leopard egg to my veno alt but people would scream unfair an event would be awesome but i remember the mother of the pack GM pk event the Lag spikes were Horrific so many people showed up there was literally no way i could get a drop.
The frame rate was so low lol i have fast internet i never had lag like that
code would be the best way to go if it were possible0 -

You're cute.
I never said you don't ask, nor did I advocate going nuclear at the first sign of displeasure. However, rare pet spawns can take up to a day to re spawn, and if a veno spent a week or more trying to catch that pet at the right time and the right place, they will be justifiably upset at having to start that all over again because of someone botting that spot, *intentionally or not*.
Honestly, I also don't give a rat's *** if that person is offended by this thread - I hope they are embarrassed. For those left in this game still capable of shame, it's the only recourse anyone has. Heaven forbid the game would be built to avoid such problems, or have enough Game Managers to tell people to stop that.0 -

I doubt this is likely, but since power creep has rendered most pets irrelevant, I'd like to see the developers open *all* pets in the game to tameable. Yea, it would be nuts (imagine having a Guarnob pet) but it would certainly bring all those venos back to the game and add some variety to a game that is increasingly worn out to older players. Add it to my wish list please.
(Obviously, none of these 'pets' would be allowed to have stats any heavier than any non-legendary pets - just having the exotic pet would be interesting enough)0 -
@kalystconquerer#0876 it would be really neat to see more of these eggs somehow! I missed out on the mother of the pack drops and I enjoy pets with novelty x)

Mother of the Pack, and a couple of others were GM-restricted pets. Mother simply because of the size I think. Way back in the beginning a few were given out as event rewards, but that stopped pretty quickly.
The two most annoying things about pets.
1. ****** people either camping to kill rare pets, or botting at spawns. (No, you cannot ask a person botting to stop for a bit. They aren't there, and will never see the message due to red spam. It's an exercise in futility)
2. Numerous huge expansions and we got one rare, extremely restricted tame-able pet in a release that was basically data copied from another Angelica engine game.
There are a few ways to code around this issue, but they will most likely never be implemented.0
