santa clause event broken?

so according to this newspost

the santa clause event (named "do the penguin march" in the newspost) was supposed to stay til dec 25th
however, as with today's server reset, all the deco and npcs down at frigid bay were gone, as well as the system message announcing the event thats been there since last maint
which leads me to think its broken?

    That event is supposed to start on the 7th according to the news post you linked.

    lol indeed, didnt pay attention :D
    either way, the event was available since maint but gone since server reset today

    @ellenfan Wait, what server was reset? All the decorations and such are turned on after a maintenance and do not go away unless 1) servers are pulled down entirely and reset or 2) a GM manually turns them off. I encountered an issue when trying to turn off a code that seemed to have tied some fancy Christmas decorations to the Frigid Bay event, but it ended up turning off only the decorations and not the event. Are there any other NPC's missing on the server you're on (Such as Nosta, PWI Iceshard Agent etc.)?

    Event is still on going.
    @kalystconquerer#0876 To make it as clear as possible: The event that gives homestead decorations are still running at 10, 14, and 18 servertime, the NPCs only spawn when the event is starting, and despawn when event ends. However the daily at Frigid Bay that gave 2x primordial blood and some star chart exp were removed along with the ingame decorations that were everywhere in archosaur and around frigid bay.

    For what it's worth, the event was live and functioning yesterday as well as Saturday on Etherblade server. I participated three times over the weekend.

    yeah sorry the event turned out to work just fine
    was just worried cos of the deco being gone all of a sudden..had that happen before and when it did it usually meant event was broken as well
    just wasnt sure if the deco belonged to santa event or the daily
    sorry for the fuss >_<
    not sure if theres an npc missing, i havent done the daily down there so far but i couldve sworn there was an npc there to start the quest...cos the respective items (the stuff u had to dig after getting ported to 4 diff locations) is gone

    Santa seems to be the one thing that is running, Emperor's Cruise and the Christmas decorations were shut off properly. Well, extra week of Santa shouldn't hurt, I hope. After this week's maintenance, all the events will be on proper. Well as long as server's didn't go down randomly and I didn't hear about it, that's good!

    I did make small announcements around the server when I shut down the code, but depending on when you were on, it could have been missed. Apologies for any confusion it might have caused!

    Thanks for response, yeah the Emperor Cruise was there initially then gone. Was confusing XD.​​
