    So I asked a fluent friend what that paragraph meant and she said that once you join this "Rose Knight" order you're able to equip special stones into your skills. These stones will add certain effects/improvements to skills. It's 1 stone per skill but they might come in different grades. This allows you to customize your skills more than just choosing between sage or demon.

    To me it sounds really similar to how diablo3 does it. The stones sound like actual items you equip into the skills. Not sure if you'll be able to switch them around. Pretty neat.

    Hmm. Curious now to see what effects these stones will give. I assume there will be basic things like adding more damage, but I wonder if they will actually add effects like x debuff lasting more seconds or increasing a debuff's power?

    A stone that counters paralyze and a stone that gives paralyze on skilld would be GREAT!

    Pretty neat, but I can only imagine the amount of ways possible that this kind of system can **** things up as well.
    I wouldn't get too excited until it's actually known what kind of effects they are supposed to be​​

    be realistic these stones would be like the item from homestead we have in our inventory so we can cast our ultimate skill.
    So the new skills will require these stones at our inventory

    About the Knights, probably will be a map like Morai or etc with diferent orders and skills, that you must collect

    Sounds great. Instead of fixed addons to skills, they let us choose and assign the effect to which skills.

    If it's a customization for skills like demon/sage, maybe they already have presets to what class can access which stone and what effect it will bring. The interesting thing is if we can assign it to different skills. Could also be universal stuffs that can be used by all classes like : dealing extra x% damage/weapon damage, shorter channeling, 100% chance to land debuff attached to the skill, etc that can be assigned to different skill.

    I don't think it's gonna be something OP like stun/paralyze/silence etc, if those are accesible randomly among all classes, it will break the game mechanics and bring chaos. Cleric that can stun is so tempting, but no thanks, other classes might be even more broken.

    InB4 a stone with which you can add 2 sec paralyze To EVERY skills. gg wp. I mean yeah, this kind of system is used in loads of other MMOs as well but there the difference stay very very minor and I hope this is the case here too cause with a certainty of 1000% they wont balance it out between classes ._. If they give paralyze to sins in any way imaginable then this game is done.

    I think this game's balance is **** up enough that adding further op **** wont really matter much. After all, they did add SB ults and DB passives into the game already, and buffing sin damage by 50%, so why not? Might as well make everything OP and let the players sort it out.

    I still say..as it currently stands..mass pvp is broken. 1on1s are fine if you take sins and duskblades out of the equation. Any other class vs any other class will be deceided by the better play. Dusks and sins can fight with their own classes which is btw the most fun anyways.

    Some people still claim that 1on1s are so easy and useless but with the next update we are getting most classes will be setup perfectly for 1on1s. The classes which needed it the most get a little boost to enable them to be competitive again and maybe this will also be the case with the cn update.

    Imho..especially with G17.5 on the horizon..it would be neat if all classes would get a means of disarming. I also could imagine a new proc: "Disarms the target for 6 seconds and increases damage tanken for that enemy by 25%". Or as an add for the new skills. Dunno, would be fun.

    Still..There is no other means of balancing out mass-pcp anymore..imagine everyone had a 80 def lvl weapon with an awesome proc..how arr you supposed to kill certain classes like that when you cant constantly disarm them? Those weapons would make full deity a valid decision for any class..holy imbalance..so yeah, the devs still have a long way I guess. Good thing no one in pwi is even close to g17.5 and imho I hope no one will ever get g17.5 cause that still stuff is literally gamebreaking. again not the garb offensive version, thats no big deal. But the defensive one. (Max def lvl sin (nearly 200) with purge and purify spell gg wp and good luck killing him).

    Hope we can get some more info about this new update soon.

    Give magic classes a disarm..... To me that's like giving a sin paralyze as in something you don't need. If you tried some stuff like that then lock them out of like most of their skill like sins db Barb. A disarm sb can still ice bullet u for ex ._. I agree g17 weaps would change the game but it will mean focus firing is paramount and working with your team better to get that wep off and keep pressure on that target. 1v1 not so much with a 80 def lvl wep haaha

    Your fav 1v1 is gonna be extremely unpredictable and will depend on random and luck even more than now. Atm knowing enemy`s moves, style and most popular tricks defines how successful the fight will be for you. The length of stun affects your decision what to use, apo, skill or genie or just to wait out, debuff they apply also pushes you to a certain decision. And now imagine you have no clue about bonus effects of a certain player. It's impossible to learn everyone`s layout by heart if everyone has custom set of bonuses.

    @shade13 well that heavily depends on how the meta will change. I doubt they will break any other class besides sins and duskblades anymore. If you add just a little bit of variety then thos wont hurt 1on1s much. You just have to train yourself for even more situations but thats fine. It's kinda the same with genie. Sure some skills are staples but there can be a huge variety as well. The difference is that you cannot look at the skill-adjustments they made (most likely) before a fight but that lack of experience is nothing a few sparring fights with a person couldnt fix.

    I highly doubt that it will be free to adjust the skills after you set them so most will stick with a specific config for a while. knowing pw it could also be random and you have to try loads of times before ypu get what you want.

    Only g17.5 really concerns me when it comes to 1on1s.

    I don't think things like disarm / paralyze /stun / silence would be available for skill effect stones, things like that usually come with original class skills. Sure there are some exceptions, If we look at demon/sage skill addons, even for some skills that's given stun effect like Sage Wiz's Dragon's breath or Demon Seeker's Yataghan Vortex, they have low chances like 20% and 15%, yes it's there but it's not very reliable, can be considered as minor and the class isn't really a cc specialist to begin with. Most are only minor stuffs like crit buff, chi gain, reduced channeling, chance to reduce chi usage, added a constant to damage, extended duration for debuff/buff, aoe range, etc. But until we know for sure, it's still a possibility even though it's very unlikely.

    Releasing the +3 atk and def gems will destroy all current PvP.. The GM who used the +3 gems in Rogues xTW in previous season rekt everything with 1-2 shots, and these were near max geared toons.

    PWI is now no longer a F2P (I know a lot of people say it hasnt been that way for a while but you cant farm 3xDeity per slot in just a few months..)

    g17.5 and +3 atk/def lvl stones will restrain the possibilities of balanced/fun 1on1 even more.
    The fact that you can go extreme in defense (80 def lvl weapon + 3def lvl gems) will make some matchups impossible to end like +3 def lvl HAs against each other. If one of the 2 camps a 80 def lvl weapon it will never end even with constant crit zerk, like a Joe vs Syntheros fight. :)
    Even a 80 atk lvl +3 atk lvl gem character will strugle to kill a +3 def lvl gem character camping a 80 def weapon.
    And of course 80 AL/+3 def gems LA char will kill each other way too fast and it will be even more luck based.

    The game has always been about mass pvp and it keeps going in that direction. Too bad you never found out how to be good in mass pvp :D . It's time to find another game, Joe o:)

    Yeah, it depends. But even minor changes can make great impact on the fighting style. For example, long cooldown of the foxform makes some potentially good combos useless. Slight change on that would give better opportunities. Same about debuff lasting time. And so on and so on.​​

    Well i hope they do complete it this time, because having new areas to explore in the main map would be enticing. Filled of content areas mind you, not empty areas. Come on PW you can do it!

    Edit: about the skill system, the comments I see on wanmei forums is that this is indeed a copy of diablo 3 rune skill system, I have to say it sounds awesome on the paper!

    I really hope these adjustments don't go overboard. Maybe minor tweaks like damage or stuns 1-2 sec longer perhaps humor people by adding bleed or poison dot to some atks but for the love of god no paralyze based runes sin with paralyze is just a nightmare ._. A skill that adds elemental damage to some atks would be nice like condense thorn not like sage db lunar grace which adds fire to normal atk only
