How long would it take for a free to play player to be competitive against top tier Pvp 1 vs1 players?

    If you're a very good merchant you'd be able to do it, but otherwise it isn't so feasible to be able to make it in any reasonably short amount of time​​

    Even as a non-merchant you can make it or rather you could. Starting now and expecting to earn alot of money with farming like I did back in the day would really be just hopes and dreams. Ah good old times when you could farm 100-200 gold a day with a bit of luck..I miss those times :( Even merching is hard these days since everyone and their mother tries to merch some and thus its hard selling/reselling most stuff.

    If you intend on playing duskblade for PvP you might be able to be competitive in around a year since avarage g16 and max passives is all you need to beat some.
