Patcher/Launcher won't load.

I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem since the last update. The last 2 times I had to log off everything for maintenance to update the game the same thing has happened. I click on "Play" and the prepatcher loading screen comes up but then the ACTUAL patcher never appears. I have tried restarting my whole PC, Repairing arc trying to run the launcher from the PWI folder and none of that has worked. The only way I got it to work the first time this happened was by uninstalling and reinstalling PWI itself. Does anyone know what is causing this or how to fix it? I'd hate to have to redownload the entire game every time there is a maintenance.

    Go into PWI launcher folder and run the fixit batch file. This morning I couldnt run PWI until I ran that.

    Ran the Fix it batch and still isn't running past the preloader :/

    same problem wiped sysinfo and another file had to reinstall

    Completely uninstalled and reinstalled and now thats not even working. Also supports advice was to verify the files on the launcher that isn't loading. *facepalm*

    Last two updates altered PWI game launch on all pc's here. "MUST" launch ARC in order to get PWI game login screen, seems to be no way around it anymore. If there is, I simply do not care enough to waste any time finding the solution (again). After 7+ years I am simply burned out and the changes aren't doing anything to help me overcome my fading passion for the game.

    A new CLEAN install of ARC may be a viable option - it was the solution for one of my PC's.

    Try:
    1) Download new ARC install
    2) UNINSTALL the current installation (I prefer to do clean uninstalls with REVO or ASC uninstaller utilities)
    3) Run clean install from the new install you downloaded.

    nope still don't work. Thank you for the ideas. Maybe it's a sign that I'm done with this game

    Or, it could be a sign that you did not exclude the client and Arc from your security software like it has been recommended to do since 2008. Read the Sticky Thread for more details.​​

    Or, since I have had PWI and ARC excluded pretty much since day one, and even attempted to run it after uninstalling my antivirus to see if the brand I used was a conflict it's a sign that something is else is wrong. Also I never did the ARC work around so I've been going through it since arc came out, still not working.

    Also i remember Sylen always saying you have to verify many times. You should maybe look at the things he says he needs to help in that thread of his.

    Actually what I asked is if anyone knew any fixes and I have tried everything everyone has suggested :) These are the steps I've taken.
    1. Made sure the arc folder and PWIen folder are exempt from my antivirus scans. ( I use avast)
    2. Ran Arc repair in the arc folder
    3. Ran fixit batch file in the PWI/launcher folder
    4. Completely uninstalled arc and PWI and restarted, then reinstalled both programs
    5. Tried running the elementclient directly from the folder with arc open then again with arc closed.
    So I'm really not sure why you think that me saying things are't working and the things suggested aren't working are "QQing" but I forget this is PW and anything anyone says about issues or problems is "QQing"

    Hey Chima, I'm in the same boat as you and have done all the sam as you. Live Support sent in a ticket for me and the other suggestions where to update Java and do a full sweep for maleware or viruses on my pc. Well atm I'm re-installing game for the second time. If this does not will work then will check java. I have already run a full scan and no infections. Hope you have had better luck getting back in game. : ) and no I'm not QQing lol I'm flat out B itching :wink:

    I updated java and scanned my system already and it still isn't loading. Currently trying to reinstall again also to see if it helps.

    WOOT!!! I made it in good luck Chima, I hope you get it to work too. We are already going to miss out on the final teir of the log in even : ( 50 event gold I needed
