Homeless title and bonus mats for compensation

About this:
We are sending out compensation items to players (who) finished their homestead quest but could not get into it at the first place. Make sure you have space in the mail box. And you guys just unlocked a new title for it.
So I've had this in the mail on 3 out of my 6 chars. When I initially tried to complete the quest chain, 3 chars got into their homestead and 3 did not, so what that system chat is saying that everybody doesn't get these items seems accurate.

This was really unnecessary. Everybody was already happy enough that the issue got fixed promptly and their homesteads have worked fine since. Now some people get a considerable number of bonus mats from this and some don't. I'm less bothered by the fairness of it as the fact that it completely screws me over trying to keep my chars in sync. Of course when these mails started arriving, I opened the mats on the chars that got them expecting everybody else would get them too. I wish I'd known that wasn't the case, and I'd have just deleted the mails or NPC'd the items. Now I can't, because you can't dispose of homestead mats like if it was something in your inventory that you could sell to an NPC to get rid of it.

Some people will probaby be annoyed by the title too, I don't care personally but some seem to love collecting titles. So now everyone who did manage to get inside their homestead on the first day is left wishing it glitched for them so they didn't miss out on this "compensation". That's so backwards, sending people nice bonus stuff is always appreciated but it needs to be done across the board for everybody and not cherry pick who receives it and who doesn't.

    Excuse me but what wasn't fair is that those who were able to get into their homestead and set it up on day one were able to start crafting items and making those very mats days before people like me could even start the homestead. Those people who were able to start their homestead earlier had an advantage over those who were forced to wait days to start theirs due to a glitch. The compensation was for mats to help people like me catch up with the people were able to start on day 1.

    Also we got extra mats because we were still limited by the daily energy required to build things.

    It was compensation for that inequality. Please stop complaining.

    I got in my homestead on day one but didn't do anything because it was being glitchy for everybody and I didn't want to start anything until all of my chars could get in and start it together. I didn't start actually doing anything in it until the emergency maintainence when we then had some sort of confidence that they would work reliably. So now I'm behind everyone else as you say, but miss out on the these free mats to catch up, so excuse you too, that's why I'm feeling this is unfair.

    Hold on. You were able to enter at day one but CHOSE not to and now you want compensation... Wow... just re-read what you posted and you'll understand how dumb it sounds... Someone that CHOSE not to do something wants the same compensation that someone that COULDN'T do it got :|

    Well this seems legit. Anyway I think it is fair for all those who couldn't enter at all.
    The title part is indeed a bummer for those who collect them. Maybe they'll implement another way sometime to obtain it that would be cool.

    I'm happy they did right by the players who got glitched. If you decided to wait.. well that's on you.

    I wasn't expecting compensations and I actually think it was a very nice gesture, I'm quite thankful to them.
    If you want all your alts to keep in sync, just don't do anything in the homestead of the 3 chars you have gotten the rewards and they'll sync eventually, although, for the life of me, I cannot understand why you have this obsession and why you'd want to gimp yourself.

    The title was a bit unnecessary, since it's actually a bit unfair that some get it while it's otherwise unobtainable. But some extra resources for the time lost, that is very fair.​​

    I didn't do it because it was very public knowledge that homesteads were screwed up in the first few days, and I don't trust using glitchy features. We've had people unable to log on before when the TT server crashed and similar incidents in the past. So I waited until we got the all clear that it had been fixed, I think that was a sensible thing to do.

    Anyway I'm not mad that I did or did not get the mats, I'm mad that 3 of them did and 3 did not, and I opened the packs on the 3 that did not realising my other chars wouldn't get them, so now I cannot think of any way to fix that imbalance since you can't throw away homestead mats. If all 6 had not got the compensation mail then I'm be perfectly happy.

    If you really want all char sync, its your own fault, that you opened those pack without checking if all will get them, since you DID know, that 3 of your chars didnt glitch.. Therefor you at least COULD have expected that 3 wont get it..

    Maybe it wasnt neccessary, but a good thing for sure! Since others had like 2 days headstart, its just fair to give out a compensation to others.
