Update:
There (is a rework of the transposition skill already released in China) and it's my hope (but no one can say for sure) that the changes will fix this issue (in 6 months or so).

However (There is no fix planned for a serious game breaking bug that is being exploited and no plans to enforce the TOS to ensure the game is fair while there is a game breaking bug present).

My exasperation isn't directed at you @thenamesdomino, I appreciate the answer and you did what you could to get one for us, but sadly the limitations for PWE are just too much. A company that has no control over their product and a lack of will or manpower to provide adequate service cannot prosper.

Guess I'm quitting game for good. Between this and the lack of competent support there's just no reason to stick around while PWE's competitors remain monetarily feasible, supportive, receptive to their customer base and punctual in solving issues that do crop up.

Thanks for the good times everyone and good luck in that Perfect World out there.

Could we add to the list that the Summer/(now Autumn Harbinger) questline is broken on some of the random quests. You can complete the questline, but then depending on what senario you get, you can not turn it in!!! I don't know about others, but this is a big piece of my daily experience and I have to trash the quest about half the time due to I can't turn it in. Please check into this as I am not the only one having this issue. Thank you for your time as I know it is valuable as is mine.

I can say that I've experienced the same problem too. It's a quest that I have fun doing, but it's a bit disappointing when I go to turn it in, but it won't accept it. I get the message "invalid mission". I like the quest and the exp that I get from it, so if possible, I'd like for it to be fixed.

Preventing this from becoming necro. Or should this just let become necro and be forgotten?
Some issues on list got addressed. What about other issues stated in thread?
What about Summer/Autumn Harbinger questline? Fixed, broken, will be fixed or remain broken?

I bet Celestone Fragments remain unusable as Wanmei won't give recipe to Gem Merchants' with economy as excuse. Then cele frags should be removed and quests should give some of other celestone as reward (Celestone of heaven, human, earth) instead of cele frag.
Right now it feels like Wanmei rubs those fragments in my face, - Here, have a reward for doing quest.

I think the most serious issues currently affecting the game are the abuse of transposition to embed barbs into terrain (can destroy the gameplay of TW and certain NW maps) and how the AH is currently useless for buying gold due to the market price exceeding the cap.

A possible fix for the AH issue is to do a grand repricing during maintenance where boutique prices go up by a factor of 10, people's gold banks are increased by a factor of 10, and gold awarded per zen is increased by a factor of 10. This is like a stock split and can probably be implemented without any help from CN. Coin and zen and banked gold will all retain their current value but the AH will be usable again.

Also I made an easy-to-do recommendation to improve the NW cross server experience here:
http://forum.arcgames.com/pwi/discussion/1203755/time-to-stop-hiding-the-names-in-nw-easy-to-do-suggestion
It's just changing one value in a text file to match what they use in PWCN.

Although that is a "smart" fix, i feel that this will only confuse the playerbase and lead to more problems. However, the simplier the fix, the worse it seems to get. The simpliest fix would be to raise the AH gold cap, however that would only promote raising prices again, and that is counter-productive because the prices are already too high (we really need them to go down). So perhaps we need some solution inbetween those 2.
My solution would be to make gold completely tradable just like coins are. Just add the option to trade gold via a trade window would solve so many issues. If the only think stopping that is the fact that there is a completely pointless 2% "middleman" fee, you can just add that in the trade window.

Also, @thenamesdomino earlier you said that the gold prices were player base driven, and i feel obligated to inform you that that is only about 30% true. What happens in reality on our servers is that the gold change is completely based on what you guys have on sale currently in the boutique. For instance, if there is nothing good, gold tends to float around 4-4.5 mill right now (which by the way is unbuyable because there is 3000 gold being bought in the AH). When the Sochi crown packs were on sale for really cheap, gold sky rocketed to 6-7m++. So yes, the player base affects the gold, but you guys are the one that create the supply and our demand is merely a reaction to that supply. All said, you guys have much more control that you realize over the gold prices. The simple version of this control is followed: if you want to raise the price of gold, put in either 10* orbs for 25 gold, GST for 2.5 gold, 11* or 12*s, or "good" packs at 18-25 gold price range. If you want to lower the gold, have no "good" sales for an extended period of time and do not release good sales all at once or ones that piggyback each other, for there will be no time for the inflated market to go down. If this still isn't clear i'd be happy to explain it further in pms on the forums or ingame.

Thats all more or less correct, but PWI wants you to charge which doesnt happen when there are no good sales.
The only way to solve this problem is
A. no more spend promo's
B. create some sort of promo for selling gold in AH. Like transfer the spend promo to a selling gold in AH promo.

thats not really true. If you want to upgrade your gear fast or need coin nowz, then you will spend regardless. If you want to take advantage and get maximum payout, you either still buy the gold then and hold onto the majority until a sale/promo comes, or just wait. There really isn't a difference. Its like a question of do i want to get paid now or next week, it doesn't really matter because the same amount will come, the amount people can put in is limited and changing when stuff is will only edit the time frame, not the grand total put in over time.

Also, an argument can be made that the more pw shows its greed in wanting money, the less people will put in because more people will either quit or refuse to put in. Its all about finding the balance that works. Personally I wouldn't be surprised if pwi made a $100,000++ over the weekend with the sochi packs and stuff.

I have read all of them, but I am only going to comment on one of them.

20: Aye the game is without a doubt imbalanced, and getting it truly balanced is nothing short of a nightmare. They obviously can't nor should they just hand out the top gear/refines to everyone not only would this kill their business, it could easily alienate people, or just get people to straight up quit either from having nothing left to do, or the aforementioned alienation (as in people being upset that they spent thousands and others got it just by logging in/being in the right place.) - Personally I hope that if the rumored g17 weapons are true they are doing away with the weapon procs, granted we all have become use to those in one form or another, besides some of the procs we get on weapon are far less... 'game breaking' than others.

--

Another note on the business/market being controlled by the public, and I am not even an expert in it, but I too see it, companies can control the prices of things if they really wanted too. As with pwe/pwi as you said tictic, they can influence it by adding in items that they know will be hot, therefore increasing the demand of gold, and as a result a higher price for the gold is applied by everyone on the other end of it. Essentially a classic case of supply and demand. - Though customers going insane over it is what causes the demand to rise sharply it still was effected by the release of highly sought after items by the company. (Another example of this and yes I have used an example of this before: Yu-Gi-Oh and it's manufacturer Konami could potentially control the so called 'consumer controlled market' that is in place/which essentially determines how much a certain card is worth. If konami wanted too they could easily flood the market with a highly sought after, and crash the demand and as a side effect the price people are willing to pay for a card, or if they wanted too they could release a card on their main site as an individual print, selling it for less than what others are selling it for, or they could stop putting it in the pack that it comes in, and just sell it to the players for a higher price making more money than if they would put it in random packs. So yea companies do have a way to control a 'consumer controlled market'... they just don't like to admit it.) - It is possible there are laws preventing that practice, as I haven't ever heard of a company doing this, as it would likely be a PR nightmare, it is still a possibility that they could do it in theory.

"easy fix"? do explain how then, and which bots-there are many types of bots
they have made numerous attempts to take various bots out of business, some attempts with successful results even

also could explain how the last gold/coin issue was due to bots and not the sales/promos

It only seems that mobs resist, but it works anyway. Hp reduce on small bears, slow on kowlins and defence debuff on big bears. It will work.

Fixed it for you.

IMHO, they will never truly fix the faction logos. It's too much effort at this point. Supposedly you can submit new ones, but it's about as effective as Russian Roulette atm.

TW lag was fixed server-side ages ago. (source)
Low FPS is not lag, and is client-side.
The majority of actual lag is on the internet. Read Here for more information. This means it's usually after your ISP, and before it reaches the servers. (Though I've seen plenty of cases where it was your ISP, your local network, or software on your PC causing the issue.)

Maybe in some future update. I wouldn't hold my breath though.

The game will never be truly fixed because Management in China apparently refuses to allow the Developers to do anything useful outside of adding broken content.

@sylenthunder You're probably 100% right saying that the FPS problem is related to the player's hardware. This doesn't mean PWE (or the chinese team if we talk about development) can not (should not) do anything on game side to handle the memory leaks or to improve the performance.

As a reminder, when you look at the system requirements for PWI this is still written the following on Perfect World website :
CPU

Intel® Pentium® 4 at 1GHz, (Mid to High Range Dual-Core 2.5GHz CPU or better recommended.)

RAM

1GB of RAM (2GB or more recommended for XP, 3GB or more for Windows Vista and Windows 7)

I really highly doubt that anyone with that kind of computer can play in a 80vs80 TW nowadays.
Also note that the problem was not the same (not as much) before the apparition of SB/DB

That's not lag, that's low FPS. (Read Me) Completely different, and for the most part, it's your PC. Read my sticky in the Technical Support forum, then start a thread asking for assistance and providing the information I request in the sticky. I'll help you find the bottleneck and will give you tips on optimization.

They could totally upgrade the client to use the Angelica III engine. In fact, two years ago they re-hired the original developers and stated they were going to do that.
It hasn't happened. Instead they've added even more taxing graphics as if it were on the Angelica II engine, when it's still on the archaic Angelica I engine.
Sure they've made it worse, but the issue has always been there. And again, this is on the PC side, not the servers.

Minimum requirements for the game to be decent are a currently Intel Core 2 Quad CPU @2.4Ghz, a GTX660Ti with 2GB RAM, and 4GB system RAM. You can play with the minimum requirements sure. Assuming you play at minimum settings and don't expect anything more than the minimum experience. Loads of people are barely meeting those minimum specs and then complaining when their FPS tanks. I had one a few weeks ago whining about his PC completely freezing in TW, and low and behold, he barely meets those specs at all.

I fixed the broken quote in your post.

No, everyone does not. In fact, for the majority of us, it's exactly the same after the merge as it was before, and often even better since they fixed the network optimization issue on their end a while back.

Again, if you are having an issue, start a thread in the correct forum and I'm more than happy to assist.
Or, you can sit and blame the company again. It won't get you anywhere. If you're too lazy to try to get some assistance, it's your own fault.

And I've stated on numerous occasions that I'm happy to help with optimizing your system and freeing up resources so you guys can get the best possible from your hardware. Truly, it can be run on the specs I mentioned above in an 80 vs 80 TW with an average FPS of around 30. That type of system was new around '07-'08, and very common up until about '10 or so. Most people have better PC's, but they are loaded with bloat. Lots of people also refuse to exclude the client from their AV software, which not only corrupts the files, but will add more latency on the data on their system to cause a further decrease in FPS.

If you want help, I'm offering it freely, and have been since 2009. So far I can count on two hands the number of people that have actually taken me up on this offer. Now if yall want to keep whining that's fine, but please stop derailing this thread with it.

One of the easiest things to do to improve performance right off the bat is to...
1. Disable Shadows.
2. turn off terrain
3. Enable simple models.

Yes, Defender is security software. You need to exclude the client. (Plus there are plenty of free options that are 10 times better than defender.) I cover a lot of this in my sticky which is linked above, and in my signature.

He hath embraced the pwi motto of soon(tm). Hail.

In seriousness tho, I was wondering if one of the things being looked into right now is the cross-server tw. We apparently got the update like 1-2 month ago now, and with it promised 3 month tw periods (which i think is a bit short but 4-5 month is appropriate time unlike the normal 8-9 month). And instead, we are still on the same tw season (i've lost track how long this one has been on) and we have not yet recieved the new content.
