@chary @saxroll Actually I'd probably hazard to say that players with "lesser" gear in this game have more farm cred than players with max gear. Players who farm and increase their gear gradually are more likely to be the players who don't supplement their farm with a credit card and therefore probably have a more accurate idea of what is reasonable effort to farm gear. I won't say your opinion is wrong or that Jadsia's is because you both have good points, but it kind of shows who has the stronger (or at least more clever) argument when one side consistently resorts to personal insult as a defensive argument. monkey-16.gif

What argument? According to Jadasia one should buy SoWs for gear upgrades, which isnt happening with current token rewards. People use NW pots, at 105 thats 8 supply tokens per pot. Weekly I use 4 hours for NW aka 32 tokens. This is w/o TW(cause everybody noshows us) or xserver TW. I can make bout bout 2 SoWs weekly being on server which gets manhandled in NW but I expect that number to only go down w/o token count change.

I cant speak for other servers but Etherblade has literally no SoWs on market. People use fair bit of their token rewards themselves. Out of whats left people sell most to friends/guildies, the amount to actually hit market is marginal at best, which is already showing. The prices are only going to increase as hoarders run out of supply tokens if the token count for NW isnt changed.

Some people seem to think SoWs just magically appear out of sky. The fact is, there is bloody few of them left already and its only been half a week. So buying doesnt only become more and more expensive but harder and harder to find sellers for them, which results into need to farm them, which takes years at this token count.

I feel needing years of farming for ones gear is a bad idea, specially when half the NWs are on Friday at a time, which makes it hard for Muricans to attend. Not forgetting the fact majority of people, who are going to get those upgrades, already got them. And moving goalpost further away is basically dumbest thing you can do for the longevity of the game.

Weird but I set up a catshop last night before I went to bed and I set a price to buy some SoWs and when I woke up and when looked at the catshop this morning after I woke up some SoWs were there. I suppose you think I must be using some kind of strange dark powerful magic to make that happen.

If there is nobody on your server dealing in SoW then there is a huge market opportunity to make a lot of coin. Create a market. All You are spewing is excuses. It's no wonder it will take you years to accomplish anything. This is exactly why poor people stay poor. They complain, blame, and shame and do absolutely nothing to take advantage of an opportunity right in front of their faces.

Very few people on my server were dealing with WS mats especially at the NW forges until I and a couple others set up a shop for them. Now there are several all over town buying and selling WS mats and a market was created.

Do continue to QQ while the likes of me take advantage of the situation and earn what we need to upgrade our gears. It's people like you who actually make it much easier for people like me. Means less competition for me. PWI has been moving the goal posts ever since before they created the tideborne class. That's nothing new. Stop thinking about what everyone else has and focus on your own char.
Since you are talking about times since before they created tideborn I assume that you play since those times. And I assume that by now you are already full r9r3+12 with atleast A card set maxed out? Since you claim to be such a good merchanter you must be r9r3+12 no?
I quit the game and came back 5 times. each time I was absent for about 4 to 8 months. Every time I came back I was way behind and had to catch up.

Also I refused to go r9 last year because I somehow lost my r9 ring and the GMs refuse to reset the quest so I can get another. I focused on farming refines for my NV 3rd cast instead.

I spent 8 months farming my herc back in 2010 and 2011 and many more months farming my nix. Spent months farming r8 gears and refines in 2011 and 2012. Not to mention farming for all the skills I can get. I play PvE mostly and had no ambition to max out my gears to keep up with the rest.

I like having room to improve my character. I level it and upgrade it when I feel like it. Also I have given away more than 4 bil worth of mats, coin, etc to friends since 2010 and asked for nothing in return. Hell, I just gave away over 300 of those badges people farm in WS to someone rerolling their NV3 before I decided to get r9rrr armors. I gave away more than 400 mil of the 600+ mill I made with my catshop in a month 2 years ago to a friend trying to get +12 orbs for her gear.

Thinking about it I gave away as much if not more than I spent on myself over the years I've been active. Do not tell me I have to be Full r9rrr +12 JSOD because I have been playing since march 2009 because I had my own style and priorities for my character as I played the game. I spent more than 9 months at level 7x while farming my herc and another 8 months at level 8x farming my nix. I chose not to level when I was spamming HH runs for mats.

Oh and by the way being a good merchant does not mean one maxes anything out. It means being a good merchant. I have friends who spent more on mounts and fash than I did on my r9rrr and warsoul gears and refines. All I'm saying is that the opportunity is there to take advantage of. It's insane to insist one has to farm every NW token to upgrade their gears when people like me buy and sell the tradable mats made from them day and night. Last spring I started out with 15 GSTs and just catshopping and buying gold from the AH I ended up with 112 GSTs and 9 +10 orbs from the spend promo at the time in 2 weeks. I added those to the 8 +10 Orbs I earned during a spend promo the previous November when I had surgery for carpal tunnel.

As I stated I like people who nay say. They don't even try so that leaves people like me with less competition to deal with.
First: I didnt asked you to tell me the story of your character in PW.
Second: I didnt tell you that you have to be full r9rrr+12. And I didnt even mentioned JOSD.
I was just simply assuming. Assuming not being certain, that you are r9rrr+12 . You are not. I dont care.
But stop telling others what to do like its a must. You can give advices but the way you formulate your phrases it feels like you are demanding people to do it your way.
Now in the end please read cynderangel comment 100 times. Maybe you will understand something.
BTW. they decided to increase the number of suplies so We won. YAY:
    http://forum.arcgames.com/pwi/discussion/1203705/nation-wars-the-information#latest

Feel free to comment if you want. I wont give you any response.
I feel this thread gonna be closed soon if it continue this way.
You still fail to grasp my point. But ok. You made a comment that I should be r9rrr and all that because I know how to catshop well. I replied to that. Did you not think I would? Really....

I was never against them raising the amount of tokens for NW. ROTFL. I was making the point that we can make do with what we had. We had many options and there were just as many advantages as there was disadvantages. All the QQ regarding tokens reminded me of the QQ about inflation caused by too many coins and then people QQing because they keep nerfing the ways coins is generated from the environment. Raps and cannies and SoW prices went up so token value went up. Now they will go back down. People QQ because they can't make as much with tokens and they QQ when they reduce the amount of tokens and increase the value. It really doesn't matter to me because I can make a profit and be called greedy regardless.

It doesn't matter what PWI does people in the forums will always QQ about it.

Sigh. The reason only idiot would of gotten on SoW market is because what already happened, they increased token count, which will plummet inflated prices. You know, I made risk assessment and trying to merch SoWs at inflated prices was just not worth it. Its not like we didnt have SoW market, it was just bought out as a result of god horrible token count for NW and somebody is going to take a hit for it.

I do love how you assume I am poor in this game. I would make wild guess I have more wealth both in my gear and in my inventories than you do. Not that I see how thats in any way relevant. You also missed the comment bout moving the goalpost in a manner you are either willfully ignorant or just ignorant to the point explaining it further would be waste of my time.
LOL! So what you are saying is that the only reason an idiot would put a SoW on the market is because of inflated prices? Anything that has a value has a market for it. I can make a profit if SoWs are selling for 99K or 99 mil. above manufacturing fee as long as there is a demand for the item. Too bad that concept totally escapes you.

Now, Speaking of inflation. Gold is currently 4.5 mil per on my server. Used to be 120K at one time. How did that get to 4.5 mil? Reason is because there are far more coin on the server now than then. People who farm NW to sell token for profit. The value per token will be far lower with more tokens than with less. That's why raps went from 240K per 2 years ago to lowest I saw was 25K Ea at one time. When I started NW I easily made 10 mil per night but now only make 4 mil or so profit.

People complain about no ways to make money because there is too much of something then they complain because they can't get more of that something. Remember the log in reward QQ when they removed the big note from the rewards? LOL you people...

By the way don't try to go to cross server if you bypassed arc. You get kicked off and locked out of logging on for about 5 minutes each attempt. Force log won't help you.
Don't run Arc on any of the PC's here and didn't have that kind of issue. How are you bypassing it?

I missed this before. Sorry. Sometimes these forums get so much QQ that I scroll.

I had it bypassed via shortcut method as you outlined in your how to in the tech forum.

I'm going to try it again this weekend if I attend and report back. I didnt do a full computer restart after overriding the server list so maybe that was the issue. Got similar error, completely kicked off, No server found message, then when logging in got "Account already logged in" message even if I tried to force log. Was in a rush so I just dled arc, did a repair and it worked OK.

So, yet again... It's really pitiful. This is basically turning into a free-for-all for the EU players. 507 players vs 472 players vs 382 players vs 371 players is a massacre. At this rate, it will be 500 vs 0 vs 0 vs 0. You want to make this fun, find a way to balance it. When you have 371 players vs 507 players, EVERY BATTLE is 30vs6 or 30v10. So, now we've got 371 players and over 60 in base, and we aren't baselocked (yet).

Drop a server buff on the server with the fewest players. Drop a damage penalty on the nation with the most players. Or best yet, let's offer the people on the West Coast servers the option to do an internal NW, and redo the cross server NW to be a 3 way battle, instead of 4 way.

This isn't working, and the only people getting ANY benefit from this are the EU players.

I'm pretty sure this is going to be my last NW, anyway, because it's not fun to be 6v30 in every single match.
