Gold Trading

Is the gold trading broke? On my toon I see no offers to sell gold only buying. I did a test, put 3 gold to sell at 5,000,000 get a message saying "Unit price must be a unit of 100 less than 1,000,000". Does that mean my selling price must be lower than 1 million coin?

The max is 4,999,999. It's empty because the current economy is over 5m for gold so they are selling items direct from boutique to charge more than the AH limit.
Except maybe Etherblade server, AH may be broken on it, but I haven't gotten any solid evidence on it.0 -
Thank you for your quick reply. I am on Tideswells, forgot to mention that0

Actually the max you can sell/buy each gold for is 3,999,900DarkSkiesx

How long until this is addressed? Or is it a 'non issue' for Wanmei?0
-
It doesn't need to be addressed. People need to stop being so greedy and sell the gold for under 4m.
The problem is the playerbase. As long as players willingly fork out 5m+, you won't see gold sold in the AH.0 -
I disagree the problem is the lack of coin sinks and the huge amounts of coin in circulation in the economy pushing the value of everything up thus impacting gold.
The recent orchid packs were disgustingly easy to make coin from, both from a player profit perspective and a net economy coin creation with the Tokens of Best Luck which had very high drop rate. I've seen gold go from like 100k ea to 5m ea over the years. This isn't player greed, this is unchecked inflation.
We either need decent coin sinks in proportion to coin creation, or we need to address the coin creation, or we need the cap on AH to be lifted. The third option is the easiest option for GMs. Gold price will rise, and will continue to rise, without coin sinks, at least having it being able to be sold/bought in AH allows people to benefit from spend rewards/merchant. Volume transactions keeps it relatively stable and generally in line with supply/demand.
As it stands with no gold in the AH people have to either buy from the volatile WC 'market' or not have access to gold without CSing, which is bad news long term for the general playerbase. As when inflationary effects on prices gets to the point where 'farming' is completely pointless (if this isn't the case already), people will realise the only viable method to gain coin is from merchanting and not having access to gold will lock a lot of people out of endgame and cause them to most likely leave and this is already quietly happening.DarkSkiesx

"Greed" huh... Sounds like you want the old 1 gold for 1k days back. Sorry, those are over.
I play other games with gold limits, usually 1m or 2m, and let's just say, stuff like charms and gear are expensive. I mean like 3 trillion coins expensive for G15 type gear. So, no, selling a gold for 4.5m coins isn't being greedy, it's called a market. Supply and demand. That doesn't explain why GST's are going for like 6-7m on TT right now.0 -
Erm, GST's are going for 6-7m/gold right now, not 6-7m total... Cheapest GST I can see in a catshop is around 30m.0

So now they have taken away our only way to merchant without charging Gold?
That's great, just great. Thanks a lot.0 -
I charge gold to sell. When gold prices drop, I stop charging. When gold prices go up, I charge. Simple as that. You want cheaper gold prices, then start dropping boutique item prices, make R9 affordable, and put more effective coinsinks in the game. Seeing a Vit Stone for 85m is stupid. You want cheap gold, then Vit stone prices need to drop back to 40-50m again.0

I'm buying Gold with coins to merchant, but now that is impossible with queue's around 2000~ Gold...
All my transactions get expired. I know it is the playerbase that chooses to pay that amount, but because of this limit it is not possible to buy Gold via coins anymore. So in a way, it's another way to force players to charge Gold with cash.0 -
I just downloaded PWI. It is flickering. How do I stop it?

Read the sticky threads in this forum and you'll figure it out I'm sure. If not, then start a new thread with real information, or at least post in a relevant topic.0 -
I have the exact same problem. I can't buy gold because it forces me to pay 1 mill and lower for 1 gold and the gold costs 4 mill and up right now. That part 'less than 1,000,000' should be 'less than 10,000,000'. I already talked to the support and they forwarded the problem to technical support. Let's hope they will fix this soon.tagenon said:Is the gold trading broke? On my toon I see no offers to sell gold only buying.
