some questions about the newer things

okay.well were to start.i have dozens of chars,and the last time i was on alot,was when we had that update with that dark lord fashion wearing guy on the front cover

between now and then alot of stuff has been added that i hardly understand and seems alien,also abbreviations

things like UCH,or JFSP or AEU,i have no idea what those are beyond possibly dungeons

then there are other things like the meridian,war avatars,reawakening.very little seems familiar aside from silverpool,and that makes things awkward for me,and things like warding and slaying stats,magic and physical penetration stats (giigles)

so,i would appreciate a big patch to my antiquated knowledge

what has gone on,been changed,and what are these odd abbreviations that have cropped up between the last time i was on alot,and now

    UCH=Under Current Hall. An instance in Primal World for those that are second reawekened and reach Mirage Sky 1. Used to collect Primordial Blood that is used to craft primal skills.
    JFSP= Judgement Mode FlowSilver Palace. An instance in Primal World used to collect Flow Silver Coins that are exchange for things like : old book pages, emblems( those used to make reputation) War Avatar Cards. JFSP was recently add to the game. Till now we had only one mode of FSP which was simply called FSP. Now there are 2 modes of FSP:
    1 normal mode that still can be done called DFSP= Deicide Mode FlowSilver Palace.
    2 hard mode called JFSP were the bosses are harder to kill than in deicide mode. And you also get an extra boss.
    In both of modes you dont just kill bosses. You have to do extra thing to win the fights with them.
    AEU is Advance Endless Univers in Morai. People used that to gain exp. Gives over 1 mil exp per run. influence. prestige or with a bit of luck to farm AEU skill books.

    Much of your questions can be answered by going through the stickies in the beginner's guide, quest tips, and dungeons and tactics forums. There is a reawakening FAQ in one of those forums.

    As was stated, most of the abbreviations you mentioned are dungeons for level 100+ (or 100+ and reawakened).

    The meridian system is pretty much a gamble. You get free mystical pills every day, so try your luck and take advantage of the free stats if you get lucky.

    I'd recommend looking for the sticky threads on reawakening for war avatar info (they are important nowadays).

    Warding and slaying levels are basically attack and defense levels for pve only.

    Mag and phys penetration are part of the newest update. They allow you to ignore a portion of the your opponent's mag or phys defense. As far as I know, that stat only comes from star charts which you begin farming in JFSP.

    How long has it been since you played? Did you do the Morai quests?

    wow,that certainly fills in alot of info

    in answer to your question,the last time i was on alot was shortly after "descent" was added

    i had left to explore round the netverse before i had time to fiddle with any of the new things in descent

    then coming back out of alot of boredom,i was amazed that nightshade had been added,i remember from the last time there were alot of rumors about a new race/class focused on darkness,part of the reason why i left last time was that i couldnt wait

    but it drew me back in recently,as pw always does,and now im hard at work on a new stormbringer

    half the game for me nowdays is perusing my vast stashes of items and trying to remember what they were for,and trying to figure out all the new people i see,i dont see ruggu or proski around anymore in the wc,and alot of the clans i remember no longer exist

    so,all of my ramblings in a tl;dr version

    i accidentally time traveled to the future,its proving a disorienting experience

    There are THREE modes to FS,
    1. Normal mode: none of the bosses have their install kill mechanics on, 8 coins for the run, can farm for obp/pof/lv 89 skill book drops. Easy to solo.

    2. Decide mode: kill mechanics turned on, npc spawn after each boss for a total of 12 additional coins.

    3. Judgement mode: even more kill mechanics turned on, get star chart items, and an additional boss available for 5 more fs coins.

    Can we PLEASE stop calling decide "normal" mode? I begging here, it messes me up way more than it should when people call it that.

    There was no reason to do normal mode, even when it was new. So it's irrelevant.

    I'm not so good on expansion names, but I think that was the expansion that added Morai? If you're starting a new character, I wouldn't worry too much about the 100+ stuff yet; since you read those links, you should have a good understanding on it, so learning as you go will be fine. Maybe find a decent faction to guide you at 100+. If you're wanting to pick up with an old character, I'd say start with the Morai quest chain and choose an order (if you haven't yet), and consider when you want to rebirth.

    I thought I saw Proski around a few weeks ago, but I could be crazy lol. Some of us are still around from years ago, but of course with tw, faction drama always changes stuff up. You're on my server, so if you need in game help with new stuff, let me know here, and I'll do what I can.

    well i usually only ever need help when my sister is asleep

    see im a caffeine addict,and as such i have a very irregular sleep schedule.otherwise i usually dont need to worry about most terrestrial threats in pwi,as when its awake,i have access to nuclear weapons

    of course by nuclear weapons i mean my sister Spoda,a lvl 101 r9 +12 psy.

    but if you happen to be awake around 3 to 6 a.m. CST i might hit you up on that offer

    one more question,i noticed alot of passive skills in the skills menu that have been added.can the skill books for those be bought?

    Nope. You spend half a year farming them. And another half farming Primal upgrades to skills.tiger-25.gif

    And while at it, you'll also spend half a year farming Morai-skill books. But luckily that can be done while farming Primals. So prepare for half a year of 1 hour of dailies per day. ^^    ​​
