hello community.
since the merge of Harshlands and Morai, i noticed the good old "local hub" issues during nation war, TW and other primetime events again. we had that problem on morai AND harshlands a few months ago (for a few months..) but it suddenly vanished.
now after the merge it reappeared.
it looks like my commands reach the server but i do not get any information back, which results in "freezes" for up to 5 seconds.
inb4 sylenthunders beloved local hubs: the problem, as always only occurs in PWI, i even upgraded my internet connection to 50 mbit recently...everything else runs fine.
its a couple of users that suffer from this problem, they are from east germany, wales and lithuania so far.
i called my ISP and they did not find any problem, so maybe PWE can take a look into this?
especially with some awesome TWs upcoming soon, it would be a shame of a good amount of users could not enjoy the events properly

Post a traceroute to the server taken when you are having the issue. If it's only occurring to a few, and not affecting everyone, then it's most likely not PWE.
Your personal internet connection has absolutely no bearing on the rest of the internet between you and the servers.
Read the sticky threads and post the relevant information. Then we can take a look into your issue.0 -
will do one during NW today...also seems it happens to south-west german users as well, even during the day ( and they should have an entirely different route to the server)0

hello again,
yesterdays NW was probably a bad example, as the "delay" only appeared in the first 2 maps and in the last 5 minutes, the rest of the NW went surprisingly flawless.
also, a few months back, the problem only seemed to occur for users of the ISP T-online(at least in germany) but this time it affects users of all big ISPs.
here 2 traceroutes, 1 from the afternoon (normal conditions) and 1 from the first NW map:

See hop 5?
It goes from a normal 37ms to 136ms when you're having your issue. you've even got a few packets that are completely dropped before it ever reaches PWE's ISP.
Unfortunately, since the problem lies on a router that is in-between you and PWI, getting a solid fix is going to be difficult.
Tips to try.
1. Completely reset your connection to your ISP. Shut your modem off for a minimum of three minutes.
2. Flush your DNS cache. Open an elevated command prompt and type "ipconfig /flushdns"
3. Change DNS servers. It's best to do this on your modem if you can, but you can do it on your PC as well with third party software like DNS Jumper.
If you don't trust third party software, here's a good guide for doing it manually... LINKPost edited by sylenthunder on0 -

what about the packet loss on the amsterdam routers? is that a result/follow-up of the hop 5 issues or additional issues?sylenthunder said:See hop 5?
