Increased GM presence.

Dear PWI.
As there is an imminent halving of number of servers, can we expect to see an increase in GM presence in game?
If not, why not?
How often can we expect to have GMs in game?
Why is it that at present we have little to no interaction with GMs?

no
effectively never, they might drop by once in a blue moon, but dont expect it
because pwe has the same number of gms for over 20 games as when they only had a handful of games
its a company that wants to make moneyso badly that they hire cheap staff with a high turnover rate0 -

One dropped by 5 days ago?

and did they do anything except afk? did they interact with players? when was the last time there was a GM event in game? when was there some actual interaction/intervention?0 -
There was for a bit an increased activity of GMs on Raging Tide. The 2 GMs that I know of are interactive and friendly....but do have limits as usually when they get on it is to do stuff on the server such as ban players or investigate tickets.0

what do you guys want to do with GM? Kill GM character? Run a dungeon with him?0

Events; quiz, find a gm/hunt, spawn some junk, throw around some weight in wc to people breaking rules, check for the dozens of illegal bots running around 24/7, activate some random event, preview new mounts/fash/items?
some of us saw the run a dungeon (quicksand) with a GM, that was...painful to watch, please no, ( a stream of a new/unreleased content might be semi interesting, only semi interesting since none of the pwe staff has shown any real knowledge of the game/game mechanics)0 -
The GMs just drop in once in a while to hand out some S cards to good paying players thats all. 0

This. All of it. This is what GMs did back in 2008-2010. It was rather pleasant. It kept the trolls at bay and kept the community excited about the direction the game was going.
That's like your boss, mintsummer, not being around. After awhile, although it may have seemed like a great thing at the time, it starts to weigh heavy on your head. Makes you worry, about your job, about the companies future. No one likes absence from the higher ups, it never ends up pretty.

Sadly hoping for increased gm activity/interaction with players is probably pointless. It was posted in a thread once ( i have no clue how to find it now in these forums) that pwe's business model (and it was an actual statement for pwe's business plan by pwe that a player found online) is for a milk and move on type. They only expect a 5 year run for most games they publish and then that's it, shut it down or ignore it and slowly let it rot. When pwi was fresh in 2008-2012 it was getting most of the attention by pwe. But this cow has been milked and now she's old and tired. The new prize winning cow is neverwinter. Farmer's Always pay the most attention to and take best care of their prize winning cow that produces the most milk of course until a new better cow (whichever big title they publish next) comes along. When that happens then support for neverwinter will dissapear as well and it will be left to the same fate as pwi.
Might as well mention that people still spend alot of money on pwi and it still turns pwe a profit (if not it would'nt be running) but they found out people will keep spending on it even if they ignore the game and it's players almost completely. So they figure why waste money and man power on pwi when players are still spending regardless of the fact pwe is neglecting it.0 -

I want you to randomly teleport people around and cause mass chaos. I want you to kill everyone. I want to see a GM mad house! 0 -
Does anyone remember that we had a GM called Strumslinger or something like that who did a livestream TT run and then vanished?0

He's still around. He's Neverwinter's CM mostly IIRC.0 -

So, what's the justification of your GMs absence PWI?

Too few spread out over too much, which coincidentally seems the mantra of many companies now public or private.
