I think the economies will combine. If they are both at gold cap then gold cap it is. I am in HT server and gold is like 3.8 mil and Arc, from what I've heard, can reach 5 mil. So at first I would expect our gold to be somewhere between 3.8mil and 5 mil for awhile. Then once the economies duke it out well see what happens, I do imagine more people will make gold drop in price.
