After you've gotten your end game gear, for pvp purposes specifically, which shards are best for pure magic SB? My first blind guess was Jades, but if you cannot afford jades, would you actually benefit more from Vit stones than DoD's? Please Discuss.

Yes is the answer to your question. Vit stones are compared directly to Jades as DoD don't really have a place in any form of endgame sharding. So there's not really any discussion about them as it's a simple go vit or go jade scenario for your sharding.
