Server Population(New Player)

Hey guys I'm a returning player from a while back, (few years ago) and I just wanted to know which server is the most populated? Also with the new expansion coming out, will there be a new server coming along with it? (If you know)

    I'm not sure which is the most populated.
    Though I would say its a safe bet there will never be more servers added to this game. Its population has gotten smaller and its a 6 year old MMO.
    I'm not one of these prophets of doom stating the game is dead, because its not. Its still doing alright and theres a decent population on my home server (Dreamweaver), but I don't think its seeing any real growth in population, certainly not to warrant a new server.

    im not so sure you want the most populated one, its all about which one you play best on, if your in East, the most populated one would probably be Dreamweaver, if west, then sanc. There has been No decline in the player base, Only increases, That's how we were able to get another expansion. a lowering population wouldn't have allowed that.

    That would require Perfect World International to give out stats on the player base and I'm all for it. Be open and honest with your customers. b:laugh

    Search function FTW. We just had a discussion on this like 2 days ago.

    The most populated server would be Sanctuary. It's PVE, and it's also the oldest server.

    With population on a couple of the existing servers, like Archosaur, waning; it's very unlikely that they will spend money on a new one. It would be much better if they took a couple of the existing servers with low population and merged them.

    Getting a new expansion has nothing to do with increases or decreases of population in game.

    This assumes that we here on PWE are the driving playerbase and force behind the decisions made for this game. We are not. PWCN is.
    Also, a decline in playerbase in an MMO could very well be a driving force behind an expansion though. Designed to stir new interest and draw new people into the game if it was showing a decline. Truth is, we dont know what the driving force was.
    And whether there has not been a decline in the user base is your opinion. It is my opinion it has declined some in the last few years - but neither can be proven correct as PWE does not release or discuss those numbers. Either observation can be influenced by other factors.
