I don't normally post TW videos here, but this is by far the best example of how to play BM in an 80v80 R999 Top Tier faction battle. Both sides with roughly 50-60 R999 players.

    R8R defense level sword is better than pole.
    You can spam star smite for chi without briefly weakening your defense. It's what I use.
    Blademasters can now get all r8r weapons.
    Pole is for purge.

    problem is u can only get them with those dragon blood stones whatever they called, and its pretty expensive

    I already have two extra just from doing uc.
    Debating if there is any possible reason to try for fists as well other than just to say i did.

    Regardless, the defense level sword is superior to the defense level pole

    To be honest I never thought of defense level sword. With the new sword skills r8r defense sword is a great idea.

    I hadn't thought of that yet, but will be a future project I suppose.

    I honestly went with the idea of Def lvl Axes that way I can still use my axe path skills. My refine isn't high so I'm not looking to kill but at the top level you have to take in effects like slow and that can really help you escape a situation just like anything else. I just couldn't give up the purge on my pole weapon :p new farstrike \o/

    I'm also dabbling with the idea of a square formation sword as that added disorientation on top of the new sword skills can really set someone back. I can also see people trying to proc this with myriad in TW from big groups at range, would be pretty sweet if everything actually worked xD.

    Then again I have a very strong sense of defensive role in TW and I usually spend most of my time amping or crowd control than anything else as it is a much needed role in most TWs and it can make a huge difference in the right situations.

    Not everyone agrees nor likes this play style but it's how I have the most fun and it's the best contribution for my friends and squad in TW ;P
