Slewdem and I were talking about this and we tested his 100 str genie's tangling mire

My base unbuffed pdef: 5902

after 100 str mire, 3531

%age: (5902-3531)/5902 = 40.17%

then he used a 5 str pve genie

5902 to 4350

%dage: (5902-4350)/5902 = 26.30%

testing with FayHumming, base unbuffed pdef 7857,

100 str genie 7857 --> 4049 48.47%

5 str genie --> 5364 (31.73%)

we stopped testing around there

Is there a pre-existing bit about Mire that I should know?

graphing into excel right now

Slew wants to know if dropping 40 genie str into vit would be worth it

    It may or may not, best thing is just to try it out. But Mire has a base debuff of 35% if i am not mistaken so the 5 str genie is pretty close. I am not sure off hand how much str to % point increase it is atm.

    Mire operates on your base equipment pdef which is less than your base unbuffed pdef.

    The base pdef includes pdef from str and vit (also includes +% pdef adds from TT g15 Nirv). Every point of str is .12% equipment pdef and every point of vit is 0.08% equipment pdef.

    That means HA classes are running around unbuffed with pdef significantly higher than their equipment pdef while AA and LA are a lot closer to their equipment pdef. 600 str would be 72% added pdef which is almost the same as always having demon bell.

    The easiest way to measure equipment pdef is to look at how much cleric vanguard buff raises your pdef and divide that by 0.6 (60%).
