Sure, not me personally, but Ive picked up some really 'good deals' from CatShops in my time on the game here and there.

There are peeps who browse CatShops and the AH everyday looking for such mistakes. They are called Merchants.

Its a lesson worth learning though - dont buy or sell stuff while not paying attention to what you are doing. Dont buy or sell while in a hurry, etc.

I wouldnt feel too bad about it. Just learn from it, and carry on. f:strive

I scan every shop, every item, every day, all the way around arch. Doesn't matter what the title says. I have found tons of mistakes, almost daily. Sometimes, beng nice, I leave a message and leave. If I come back through scanning again hours later and it's still not fixed, I buy it. I even look on the merchants buying side, in case they overprice an item. It's my daily routine, be careful and make sure you price your items correctly and quadruple check before hitting done.

Sometimes, if I see someone standing and suddenly change in to a shop, I run straight for them and scan. It's a split second mistake, that might have been overlooked had they quad checked. b:laugh

Happened to me years ago when I sold a Wheel of Denied Fate +6 for 1.6mil instead of 16mil.

Yeah...it's a very long time ago, when those weapons were worth a lot.

Best deals I found was 1200 Dragon fire packs in a shop in south, they didn't change the price on them and threw the whole stack to sell. I can't remember the npc price on them, but I believe I paid under 1.5mil. Another nice deal was 270 Anni packs without the price changed. I normally find stuff that people are in a rush, throw the item in the shop without changing the price and hit done. Love Up n Down for 60m, im sure it was supposed to be 600m. 12* x 3 for the NPC price. Stacks of orbs and so on. I could seriously keep going. I frequent the pack areas, or the areas I know people post selling packs, especially when a new pack comes out, or a pack sale. Like I said, I sometimes message the shop owner, and if I come back and it's not changed, I take it if no one has already done so.

The worst that has happened to me when I first started playing 5 years ago. I remember the Chronobike came out and it was selling for like 150m(same day it came out). I found one in a shop with a mistake for 10m. I bought it, posted my shop all excited and in a rush, I also put the price of
10m hahahaha. That pricing mistake has never happened again. What a noob I was. From that day forward, I have searched ona daily basis. Shop searching is part of my dailies, it's how I make extra coin.

Bike have been around for ~2 years.. Anyway, if what you say is true you got some mad luck when it comes to finding wrong priced items xD Best deal I ever found was 1k packs for 1k each b:laugh

    I had the opposite happen.

Setup an AFK shop called Don't buy these. In it were a bunch of items with decent prices and an arrow I thought I had put for 1mil.

Only it turned out I had put the arrow for sale at 10m.

Weirder still, someone bought it and left me a chat saying not to tell them what to do.

I haven't had that happen to me thankfully, as I usually triple check things before I set it up, regardless of if I'm in a rush or not.

Though I have found some people do this mistakenly a few times. I bought a Saph gem for 1.2m, later resold for 15m, and bought around 20 packs for some odd number each, where Tokens profited me. Needless to say I opened them all and only got tokens XD.

Ah your right, must have been when I first started trying out being a barb. Had a cleric for years before my barb. I was finding mistakes way back when. but I made it a daily ritual when I made my own first mistake.

Not to really change the subject, but the best actual trade I ever made was the day Matchless Wings came out. I had a friend that used to sell me stuff for pennies and was an avid pack opener. they would open a few thousand a day, I guess bored and had the money to spend. they were trying to shard their R9s1 with JOSD's, so they were constantly opening packs trying to get DOD's. They would sell me stuff all the time. I traded a 5* orb for 2 Matchless Wings. I kept one on my barb and sold the other for 250m. Sharded it with Vit stones I got from them for 5m each.

It's not really your fault when this happens. There are actually a lot of problems with the catshop interface that makes this mistake very easy.

    1) The font places 0's too close together
    2) It doesn't group the zeros as you're typing the price
    3) You don't see the color coding of the price as you type it
    4) You can't see the price you entered after you enter it unless you scan through all the tooltips.
    5) To change the price of something you have to remove it and type it again from scratch increasing the chance of mistakes. You can't make a small adjustment.

If you have a full catshop with a lot of items checking prices through tooltip hovers is really stupid. You should be able to see the price on all items in the shop without having to hover over everything one at a time. If the interface was better it would be a lot harder to make mistakes.

I accidentally sold a Misty Forest Ring for 200k instead of 2m in the Auction House b:sad

Other then that, I haven't made any mistakes like that.
And I also take advantage of anyone else who Does make the mistake. I think I saw an Essence of Something like a mill or two off the normal price... I thought it was a typo in the person's rush, so I bought it. b:thanks

I've always just bought the ill-priced item and mailed it back to the seller. I've had some really pleasant responses back, and I can't remember a time that someone didn't mail me the price I paid.

I have made that mistake and made money of others making that mistake. Its all part of the game. I have lost millions, but then again also made millions.

I have seen sooo many of those mistakes - ( and capatalised on it )

I think the best profit i made was from a catshop setup next to the Jewelcraftsman in West.

Player buying and selling 1star - 10 star orbs.

He/She was selling 1* orbs at 90k but made a mistake in buying them......he bought them for 280k..... Maybe he set up shop thinking it was 2* orbs.

He had 1288 1* orbs for sale. and was buying 1500 1*orbs.

Unfortunately i only had 20mil on me, and not wanting to let the oppertunity pass, I had to buy some then resell and buy some and resell....

I was able to buy and sell 900 orbs before another player got in on the action as well....b:chuckle

Well, I did make a nice 171mil profit - Was enough for me to get my S3 G16 daggers AND have left over for making it +10 b:chuckle

Thank you Mr/Mrs Mysteriuos for your generous sponsership.

A good recommendation for pwi would be to have auto comma's when typing a price. Example: Once you type 1000, it automatically places a comma 1,000 and so on. this way the seller and buyer can see what prices they are placing, instead of staring at how many 0's they put in the price.
