A way to lock the items on you

Some day ago a tragedy happened, during a lag spyke my -int cape switched with a worthless one and got npced b:angryb:cry, u can say that i should check before sell but like everytime i cheked before the lag spike, and some click did while it was all stuck, had to made the change...
This make me think of some way to lock the items you are wearing to your char, similar to the bound thing, but that you can activate by cliking something in the "B"/"inventory" page.
The items can still be dropped while dead and so but unless you unlock them, they cant de changed/dropped by accident. Like i said, they dont bound, they simply dont risk to be swapped for a misclick during a lag spike or so...b:surrender

Set up a bank code and you can't swap gear without entering your bank password.0

While this would be practical, I don't think it's the perfect solution. Just think of the poor BMs. "HF incoming! ... OH ** I'm locked can't use my axes!!!" b:laugh[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

good catch. instead, it should prohibit you from npc'ing the item. i'd definetely buy a ton of those charms to avoid npc'ing mats xDyou only purge once #yopo0 -

that will only work if you have not entered a pass code during that login session and it wont work on an item that was put in the stash and you grab it on another toon that has no bank code.Marine - Marshall - Raging Tides - Retired

Yes, because people really need 900+ dex or 1000+ magic just for the lulz0 -
Being a sin that sometimes switch to bow i know that for weaps the prob is still there but even "not allowed to sell/drop" thing will be the same thing, avoiding to sell or drop item cause of lag or whatever thing acan cause that.
I got the idea from a game whre the weapon switch were not possible so i started saying to lock the thing on us, but well here we can switch, so the not sell/drop is ok.0 -
This is the exact reason why, when npc'ing items, it asks are you sure, and tells you that you have rare items that are about to get sold, so you can double check what you are npc'ing before you make the dreaded mistake. Even if it says it every time your going to npc something, there is a reason why they implimented it.
Maybe what they need to do is say "Your about to NPC something, it's rare", then "Don't be an azz and listen to what im telling you, your going to NPC good stuff", then "Holy ****, you aren't taking my word for it", then "If you click that button, don't send in a ticket cuz your dumb azz was told several times", then once you still do it, and realize that you just got rid of a peice of R9, they need to sound a price is right buzzer EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE, with a flashing light and a message that said..."Told you so"
Because being told 2 times is not enough to stop someone from double checking.R9s3 Beast w/Demon Facepalm0 -

That actually made me laugh b:chuckle
I think it is a little too much but in case of NPC'ing gear pieces, they could have 2 pop up questions or one in red letters saying "You're about to NPC gear" or something.[SIGPIC]http://i.imgur.com/MtwcqjL.png[/SIGPIC]

i remember playing a game where it remembered my last 20 or so npced items and i could run back to npc and buy back what i accidently sold. implementing smth like that would work better instead of some kinda item that i have to pay for0

Though there are cases when people specifically want trade-able gear (eg. 3rd cast Nirvana lunar path) so binding those would make the whole point of going Lunar a waste :<[SIGPIC]http://i.imgur.com/MtwcqjL.png[/SIGPIC]
