NW - TW TIMES - None US players

I am wondering how many none US players are being effected by the NW and TW times?

Is it effecting your ability to keep up with the rest of the server in gear and upgrades?

Is it not possible to have one of the NW's at a earlier time? to allow the none US players to be involved?

Also the TW times. We have some earlier ones but would we all like to see more of them?

Please I would like real answers.

Some of us have years on Dream weaver and thousands of dollars invested in our tunes.

We do not want to start all over.

The only issue I see with the TW scheduling is that both attack and defense TWs are now on the same day since NW was released, this can become straining on factions when they have drawn out attacks and defenses for several weeks. It was much more manageable when those slots were on different days.

Nation Wars should have an earlier slot as not all Americans even can attend the event at the current set time. I thought this one was being looked into by the CM, was there any decisions made on that?

I didn't think there was any CM post regarding the subject of changing times however they said they would see if the new map size of NW would effect gameplay.

I've said it time and time again. Switch Friday 8pm NW and Saturday 2pm TW. Kill two birds with one stone. X.x

maybe its cause i'm on server time but i don't think they need to be changed.

I know plenty of people who are not American who get up at the butt crack of dawn for NW and TW.

That's not a troll response. The original 2 Euro servers were created to address this very issue. There's no reason to **** over all the people who play PWI on this side of the planet by changing times for events to placate people who live on the other side of the planet when they have had servers over there for over 2 years now. East coast US servers are programmed to cater to people in those time zone regions and the West coast servers cater to people is that time zone region. And we're talking the US south pacific islands to south America to Canada to Mexico to the Caribbean Island nations.

As far as spending years on DW and $1000s on your toons goes...that was your choice. Since you've been on DW for years you know damn well by now that event times are what they are because that's what they've always been. If you don't want to start all over then you just have to deal with it.

There was a CM response that they will try to look into adding/change a time slot for NW.
Considering it's an event that already takes place more than once and has some gear pieces that can only be upgraded through those tokens/forges it's only fair to modify or add another time slot.
I do like Eoria's suggestion on this.

I think TW is fine though. TW is supposed to an event that only happens "once" and you don't gain anything from it either so I don't see it as a necessity to have more non US time friendly slots for them. These are, US servers after all.

Please note that what I'm saying is;
NW - you can farm/upgrade gear with it, therefore makes sense to give more people the ability to participate (previously no other instance that was gear related had a time zone limitation)

TW - is an event like any other, therefore there's no particular need to modify it to fit other time zones, besides we already have 2PM TW and potential 5PM ones already.

when nw 1st started there was a lot of eu players that wanted time changed for non us people.CM was quoted as saying he would look into it at that time .I myself msged him once about it and got a reply back saying it he would look into making it happen or something like that .But personally i cant see it ever being changed as pwi doesnt really care about there EU playerbase .As far as i can tell lol

Swapping the defend TW time with one of the NW times may be a great idea.

As for the (live with it. It was my choice of servers.) When I started playing as well as many others we did not have the Euro servers.

Some of us Over seas are English speakers who wanted a English speaking community also.

If they can not make the times available then they should make it possible for us to purchase what we need for the gear upgrades then.

Allow us to earn or purchase the items needed another way.

That's my two cents worth.

I just wanted to know if many others have the same feelings concerning this.

I disagree with this "reroll to Morai server" ****. No way I leave my server, faction and friends. There's so much old Europe players on US servers (times before Morai server!) that IMO they do deserve a timeslot change. It also could be useful to some US people to have a differ in times.

As stated, v4l has promised to look at the issue. Decisions, however, still come from PW-CN so we just need to hope.

Btw, I'm really not talking for myself. I am European but stay up to 6 AM every day anyway. For some others it causes serious issues in schedule to be awake at that time.

actually a good idea and i think many of the europeans could live with that. at least one nw is better than no nw.

but unfortunatly for us, pwe doesnt care for customer interests and so i doubt we will see a switch between these 2 times soon.

(or they should make people able to switch servers with their toons... its possible in other games, but only pwe is to incompetent to implement this)

I have to say TW season ends usually with mass ganks and thus long defends and attacks. Assuming one faction isnt far more powerful than 2nd one, which is fairly rare on Archosaur near season ending. Defending and attacking for hours on a single day, thats exhausting. Switching NW and 2pm TW would be amazing, doesnt matter which NW, just 2 main TW slots on same day? Thats utterly ****.

It already is possible to purchase whatever is needed for gear upgrades. You just have to get them from other players.

They are American servers, so it's logical the events run at their time and give them priority. Maybe they could just make it earlier for few hours, though. Like 6:20pm instead of 8:20pm, wouldn't harm anyone's (form U.S.) ability to participate, would it?

I'm pretty sure there are US player that can't always make the 8:30pm NW. I talk with some of them regularly and they sometimes miss NW so I think having the event run at different times and not both at the same time will benefit more people in general regardless of timezone.

Geez.... if you want to stay on the East/West coast servers for a social/gaming reason then you'll just have to put up with it. Just like how if someone made a character on Morai who didn't live in that time zone in order to be with people there would have to put up with it. And it would be utterily preposterous for them to complain about 'changing times'.

I couldn't ever attend NW due to my current schedual, if I wanted to, either. Unless I only wanted to be there for the first few minutes.... not a time zone issue, though. And I certainily wouldn't suggest different timeslots just because of my issue with it, when the majority of people do not have that.

What is this "Go to Morai, it fixes everything" response?!
I'm an Australian normal NW times for me is 1.20pm to 3.20pm, TW times is 7am and 1pm on Archo server, I miss out on nw most weeks, unless I take time off work or classes.
If I was to go to Morai... nw would be 4am for me, and that.. that's way worse than 1pm. Not everyone lives in the EU you know >_>'

I'm an American and don't participate in NW. Friday I don't get home early enough from work, and Sundays are too late as I get up at 1am for work on Monday. But such is life.

I also don't see them moving the times on a US server because the populations in NW are abysmally low as it is on some of the servers, though I think this can bs attributed to the r9rr "elitist" squads that are like cockroaches in a diner. They take over everything. I know many that just gave up even trying to compete, or because they were in a nation with some elitist that flame them for not being OP.

Maybe move a NW to early afternoon on a Wednesday. It's afternoon and from what I can tell it wouldn't affect too many since it seems most are kids anyway without jobs or educational aspirations.

That would not affect both EU and American players since it's weekend after all, and the NW would be on early evening for EUs (I'd say 8pm or 9pm, idk).

Keep the Friday one like this but change the Sunday one... this way Europeans would be able to attend at least 1 NW in the weekend.

What you all think about that? ;o

I am sure they base their event times on max(or expected) server populations on X day they plan to have events (past, present and future). If you ran a business would you have events or specials outside that time frame? Or would you have that said event when no one or hardly anyone will show up for it. Television is a perfect example. Move a show one hour earlier or one our later, will in effect kill the show if the audience that mostly watches it has some other plans or what not during that time.

Not related to your post:

I see alot of people on our server and in my guild that have complained about NW/TW/Mics event times and even language. A lot of people say but this is "Perfect World International" emphasis on the International thinking it is geared towards an International audience, but its not, it is just the name of this version of PW. Now if it was called The International release of Perfect World or similar, then that would be a different issue. Just because you can connect to and play a game does not mean they have to change times of events ect made for a player base in a different time zone. Unfortunately you do have to deal with it or go some place else.

Of course then you get the "omg what if it was you trying to play a game in South America or Europe or blah blah blah" crowd. First this requires common sense thinking, which apparently a large part of the player base on every server will never have. If I am going to play a game that is based in another country, then common sense would tell me that any events they may have just might be based on their time zone, oh and guess what, they might not even speak my language or even want to attempt to understand me. What a concept!

I have no problems with people of different cultures, time zones or even languages. But one thing I do have a problem with is people wanting to change things just to benefit them on something that was never geared to them in the first place. You chose to play on X server, you chose to put time here or even real life money. Get over it, deal with it or move on somewhere else. If you do not want to make another toon on another server, well that is your right. But it is your choice you where here playing in the first place.

I am not being an ****, but just how I see it.

im from europe, and i think it wont be changed, and it probably shouldnt. why?

because not only america and europe are part of this problem. yay cool you change time west europe can do it earlier. but will still be night for east european and might **** players from asia as well.

so lets add an other nw time for those?
